DM was the real deal. I don't think he'd have beaten prime Jones but he was the real thing.

Great Euro level fighter, and I don't mean that as insult, but the RJJ thing was always way overplayed. There is no way DM was beating RJJ, Jones' speed in the mid-90s would have slayed the Tiger. Fun fighter to watch, but no Roy Jones.

DM should have been recognized as the man at 175lbs. because his titles were stripped in the most ridiculous way possible. I don't get how people can rate him lower then RJ considering their resumes are mirror images. Jones and his hype machine basically willed people and the media in the US to recognize him and ignore DM. They should both be blamed for not fighting one another.

The first time I saw him live was when he beat Britain's Mark Prince from pillar to post. He also did the same with Nicky Piper.

A good strong puncher...Very good in his prime...But failed to become a real star in boxing (outside of Europe) and never got the big career defining fight...

DM was a decent fighter that refused to fight top guys. He hide in Germany behind that WBO title and fought lame ass number one contenders. I know that some will claim he was stripped of this title and that title, but the truth is he was rightfully stripped, if you dont fight then you lose the belt. He lost the two major belts because he would fight end of story. He wouldnt fight Lou DelValle who likely would have beatten him so he was stripped of one title. Now I know that some will say that he was given 90 days to defend the title but that was some misleading bull**** put forward by his promotional team. when the truth was he was told that he had 90 days in which to make a fight with DelValle and he said NO so they stripped his ass. He then he was stopped in court from defending the WBA belt against anyone other then Will Guthrie, I know WHO??? But at the time Guthrie was seen as a beast and was like 24-0 22kos. The rest is history, Jones fought the guys that DM wouldnt or the guys that beat them and picked up the belts. My thinking was always, if DM really wanted to fight Jones all he had to do was hang on to the belts and he would have got his fight.

Now I wait for those to come along and try and bend this in a favorable light for DM:rasta

Whenever I hear the name Daruisz Michelczewski, I can't help but think of his first fight with Graciano Rocchigiani.

He could have been quite an actor, wouldn't you say?
