Heck I bet Mike Tyson could make cruiserweight at the new 200lb limit, maybe I should reclassify him as a cruiserweight.

Some people argue he is #1. Make of that what you will.

Yes, but with fairer judging perhaps we would have done it on his first try.

    Wrong on all accounts

Rahman was a basic bread and butter one two fighter with a poor chin, poor stamina, poor Ring IQ and hardly any punch selection......but he was the the right guy at the right time when he hit lightning once against borderline glass in Lewis....while both looked like crap in a dread full fight.......but but but he benched 500.....

Going life and death with another flash in the pan Sanders is nothing to brag about......getting ko'ed out of the Ring by another Glass chinned Ruskie and could not recover from a 3/4 shot from the One trick Pony at the bell while giving the chance to rest for a full minute shows that besides his Lewis KO nobody would have ever heard of that dud.

And? I compared apple to apples. Hearns lost big fights to Leonard and Hagler; fights that would have cemented his place as an ATG along with both those guys. He lost, so he has to always be rated below them on any ATG list. He never won vs any other great besides Duran...and that fight was a joke. Barely got by Benitez (majority decision), got sparked by Barkley twice.

Rahman had on big win vs Lewis, had the replicated the win he would have been placed much higher on any HW list. But he lost, so he'll always be rated below Lewis. He did beat some excellent boxers....James Toney, for example.

Apples to apples. Deal with it.

Well I certainly respect what he achieved, he was a very good contender who took a couple of his chances to maximise his talent and succeeded.

He was never really an elite fighter but he was good enough to give elite fighters trouble.

He boxed well v Tua and gave him a competitive fight but Tua could be a beast and was this night. Rahman did get caught badly after the bell had rang and I think that shot finished him but tbf Tua was in mid punch when the bell went so not a lot he could do. Could argue an early stoppage but Tua was well on top of him at that point.

He wad beating Maskaev but Maskaev turned it on in the second half of the fight and landed as good a KO as you could ask to see.

He really did hit the Jackpot with the Lewis win, I do think Lewis didn't take it as serious as he should have and ****ed up heading abroad so late but that's not on Rahman and he did what he had to. The rematch showed Lewis taking it a lot more serious and again Rahman was dispatched with a brutal KO.

He was competitive with Holyfield though Evander was getting the best of it, can't really complain at stoppage of that fight, he'd grew a new head on his forehead. One of the worst injuries I've seen let continue.

Ruiz was a typical scrapping fight that could have went either way. Maskaev II was fairly even but another quality stoppage from Maskaev late.

Been a while since I watched the fights but I thought he edged Toney I and Tua II. Very good wins at the time, was unfortunate to be on the wrong side of the scoring.

Klitschko was a one sided jab and clinchko special.

You could make an argument he should have a resume consisting of Lewis, Tua, Toney, Saunders, Ruiz, Berwick, Barrett and Meehan which is a very respectable resume. Obviously a few of those he didn't get the nod officially and his biggest fights generally ended up with him being stopped badly but he definitely goes down as top level contender type.

Completely incorrect and I suggest that you start to educate yourself on boxer's careers. Sounds like Rahman stole your lunch money, kid.
