Im talking not about him as a fighter any man who laces the gloves deserves respect however im talking about the cherrypicking of Jones,His ring style, His questionable defences against the likes of Bronko Sobot,Tucker Pudwill and Peter Manfredo and il throw in Enzo Calzaghe in to it as well.

Yes. Calzaghe has like 21 or 22 successful title defenses. That's pretty impressive.

Ridiculous thread. How can you disrespect a guy who's never done anything to you. I'm not a fan of Calzaghe's way of boxing. I would have prefer him to fight PAvlik. I am not a fan of Enzo. DO i respect Joe Calzaghe? Yes. Those are no reasons to disrespect a guy.

Of course, look at his accomplishments.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't love to see someone hand him his ass.:smoke :smoke

You have to respect him. I respected him when he got in the ring with Lacy, Kessler, and Hopkins.

Lacy isn't what we thought he was, but before the Calzaghe fight, we didn't know that. He had the reputation of baby-Tyson. When the whole world says you're going to die if you walk into that ring, but you still do it and not only survive but destroy the other guy, that's guts no matter what anyone says.

Kessler to me is the fight that must give him the most respect. Kessler is a big boxer that can ruin anyone's career. Hopkins is so tricky, you have to give him respect for that as well. Calzaghe showed me he could tame any lion after that. If I see one PBF fan not give Calzaghe respect, I'm going to be laughing all day long. Enough said for me on this topic.

Not really. The fact that he fought nobodies for most of his career leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
