Do you still consider Cotto-Margarito a classic fight?

I thought this was an amazing fight...the way the tides would turn for both fighters and the drama leading up to the stoppage at the end.

Many people thought it was a classic however the fight does not seemed to be looked at in the same way after the whole "plaster" issue came up.

Do you still consider this a classic fight or has the fact Margarito might have been cheating changed your opinion?

No evidence he has ever used plaster in this fight or any other, not good to make assumptions based on Cotto quitting, and/or the state of his face.

I'd be surprised if anyone made such assumptions based solely on Cotto's face or him quitting, rather they probably draw conclusions based on his actions before the Mosley fight.

    No.

A CLASSIC fight is Tito-Vargas, or Corrales-Castillo 1. Marg-Cotto doesnt come remotely close to those two fights.

I'd assume someone had watched or checked his wrapping in previous fights.

I never considered it a classic to begin with.

It was a good boxing match that turned into a beat-down. After hearing about the plaster, it stopped being a matter of competition in my mind. Regardless, a brutal destruction of an undefeated beast of a fighter under suspicious circumstances is not something I consider a classic matchup. So, no.
