Here in Chicago is freezing. I went for a run. People were looking kind of weird at me. Do you run when it's below 0?

Yeah i still do it. It makes me feel even more of a machine and i always felt it gave me an edge because i knew not everybody would have such discipline to go run below zero. Just make sure you have several layers of clothes.

Yeah, on a treadmill. But I do run outside when it's cold as well. I just make sure my face is covered and I wear these:

I also live in Chicago, and I don't run when it gets this cold. But that's only because all the sidewalks in my neighborhood are iced over and I'd rather not break an ankle.

So I do other cardio workouts during this time of year to keep the conditioning up. Lots of jumprope and circuits right in my kitchen where it's warm and toasty.

Occassionally but I cut it short at this time of year I run alot less unless im competing soon. Im fighting in March so ill pick up the running in the middle of January im not looking forward to it to be honest unless its snowing. I to get weird ass looks running in the cold though but its cool.

Its actually really good for the lungs. I moved from Milwaukee about a year ago and I used to run all the time during winter. You definetly wanna be dressed appropriately and watch for ice. I did the splits on some ice once and just about broke my tail bone. I remember I couldnt even do situps for a week cause of the bruises. :?

I take my roadwork indoors when its that cold. Box jumps, jump rope, short sprints etc...Then i will run on that treadmill if anything. I can do it all in the aerobic class room when its empty. Here in NY its been like arctic freezing for the past week.

By the way, running is severely overrated for amateur boxing. Don't risk getting pneumonia for it.

Being in condition is severely underrated for amateur boxing.

Ok Ms. Sarcasm...apparently you are the know-it-all of everything boxing related. When is your fight with Anne Wolfe coming up?

Keep with your long distance aerobic jogs, and I'll focus on my short, anaerobic explosive burst exercises and lets see who is in better fighting condition.

Wow, you take everything so personal. Chill.

All I'm saying that most amateurs don't take conditioning seriously. If these guys are out running, it's more than almost all novice ams do, so wether or not they are running in the morning or doing sprints inside....it's conditioning and it's nothing to sneeze at.

    So what's your experience anyway?

Everything so personal?? Hows that. All your past replies to my posts have had a sarcastic tone to it so I figured this was the same...it sounded like you were saying that me overrating running was the same as overrating conditioning.
