Its a very good jab. fast and solid. Hayes very fast for a heavy but the jab controlled how Haye attacked and how often he attacked. Any heavyweight would love a jab like that.
why do you ask that? his jab was what helped him control the fight, win rounds, set up the big right he landed a few times and kept haye in his place, so yes.
In that fight no he did not show it. That is credit though to how elusive Haye is and how fast he is. Most HW's dont have the speed defensively that Haye does.

Its a very good jab, dont let yourself be confused because he also missed with a lot of jabs, Haye was moving very well and kept out of reach if possible, tilting his head to avoid getting hit, against a more stationary guy you d get to see the impact of wlads jab better than against an elusive fighter like haye. Also against a come forward fighter wlad would have connected more cleanly and neatly than he did against haye and we keep in mind he still beat Haye largely because of his jab.
One half of me says no. The other half says "he does win a lot and it's the only punch he's got". It must be pretty decent.
Why do I keep seeing people who think Wlad's jab was ineffective last night? Were you not watching the fight? He was pinging it in Haye's face all night. It's a fast, sharp Jab. Haye kept moving his head to avoid it after it had already landed So much for Haye's speed. For a heavyweight, it's an ATG jab.
