In terms of matches that were made, it was alright, but the matches themselves were for the most part, disappointing. Cotto/Margarito wasn't a bad fight by any stretch of the imagination but it obviously paled in comparison to the first, though that was expected. Haye/Klitschko was... well, we all know what happened there. Bradley/Alexander was highly disappointing. Mayweather/Ortiz ended just when it was getting interesting. Pacquaio's fight with Mosley (apologies if this wasn't 2011, I don't remember) was highly disappointing and he didn't deliver against Marquez in their least entertaining match of the trilogy, one Marquez looked like he won more than any. Not to mention the two big names mentioned not fighting eachother. Hopkins/Dawson was a sham. Nonito Donaire failing to excite after his Montiel knockout. Numerous robberies. Any others?
Was really happy with the result but I didn't think it was an amazing match or anything but its probably just me.
I remember thinking towards the end of the year it was going to be a great year, but sometimes a few good months leads you to overstate things a tad. But it did seem good at times.
Rios-Acosta Rodriguez-Wolak Marquez-Concepcion 1 Morales-Maidana Salido-Lopez 1 Ortiz-Berto Arce-Vazquez jr Rios-Antillon Kirkland-Angulo Alvarado-Prescott Marquez-Pacquiao 3 (Great fight, aside from the bull**** decision) Rios-Murray Mares-Agbeko 2 Peterson-Khan If you saw anything else besides the big fights, you would know that '11 was an excellent year.
this threat lets me know that anyone who agrees with the thread starter only watches the big fights which means your a part timer.....please do one..that is all
