Do you think a round could be won without throwing a punch?

None of that matters to the judges. When one guy is throwing punches and the other guy is not, they will always consider the aggression effective.

It's not possible. You could win the fight by not throwing a punch, make the other person hurt himself and withdraw to injury, trick him into falling out of the ring and he can't get back into the ring in time, something like that.

But in those cases the round isn't scored, so you still couldn't win the round without throwing a single punch.

Even if every single punch were slipped, and a glove never touch the defensive fighter, the defensive fighter never touched the offense fighter either.

Look at it this way, the offensive fighters offense occupied the defensive fighter so much that the latter couldn't even throw a punch, much less land one.

Offensive fighter wins on effective aggression, shutting down the other fighter's offensive ENTIRELY and on ring generalship, not once in the round was the offensive fighter touched by his opponent.

Bruce Seldon vs Mike Tyson. Tyson missed by a mile and Seldon went down and lost by TKO. Case closed (again). Technically, I still think I closed it with my first post.

This is what I would say... A fighter not throwing doesn't necessarily mean it's because of the other's effective aggression or them shutting down their offense... No ****ing clue why someone wouldn't throw at least 1 punch in a round though...
