Do you think Alfredo Angulo is a poor man's Margarito?

    Exact same style of fighting, except I'd probably say Margarito has marginally better hand speed. Before the fight with Lara, I didn't think Angulo has improved at all and he still hasn't. He just isn't cut out for the elite level or even B level, he just isn't good enough. The only reason he is still in decent fights is because of his power, but his chin isn't granite and his stamina is really poor.

    Angulo = Poor man's margarito?

    Used to think he was quite good but that last fight vs Silva he looked DREADFUL, one of the slowest fighters I've ever seen.

    What did he look like last night? I saw he knocked Lara down twice so assumed it was an improved performance.

    Yeah, but his finishing ability isn't good at all. He is too slow and gets hit too often. I am not sure what Hunter has been teaching him, but I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Lara looked like he had Angulo hurt a couple times during the fight, but maybe that was because of Angulo's eye closing up and his poor stamina.

    He worked with conte for this fight. Came 20 lbs heavier.
    Other than that still slow as **** and blocking punches with his face.

    Looks like only cabbies have Concreto as a "rich man's" version of something. Do scumbags that still rate Concreto somewhere have any self dignity?

    margo is more relentless, higher workrate and more durable.

    Angulo has been billed up as what he is. A good boxer with the potitional to be a great one. Margarito was over hyped as something he never was. A great boxer. Angulo will probly never reach his potitional, but were not being sold a bill of goods when it comes to him.

    he remembered what happened against kirkland. angulo got tentative and didn't go for the kill when he had lara hurt.

    No doubt about it. I love watching him fight, he does some good body work, but he doesn't have margarito's chin or stamina

    Margarito was a bit better. "Faster" handspeed, and a better chin. But oh damn, Angulo is freaking slow! I still wonder why Canelo was afraid to fight him.

    Canelo would do good work on him, but the guy is a presure fighter that will be in your face for 12rds with no leeway. He made lara work hard more then he probably wanted too. I'm sure he was praying to get angulo out of there. angulos downfall was taking too many punches, his defense is he has none, take the punch move forward.

    I think canelo will beat him, but with canelos work rate stamina issues it would be a tough fight. The guy is like the terminator, takes punshment but keeps coming at you relentlessly.
