Agreed. I think Timothy is overrated myself Have you seen his recent video "i let you escape baby, we gonna get it on" that sounds like a load of talk to me, pull out of a fight and then show some faux machismo
Yes. I thought he would whoop Maidana easy and stop him in the later rounds. After that fight many jumped on his bandwagon and now they all think he can beat Bradley. :rofl He takes a beating and suddenly he is the best in the division.
Watch the fight. I haven't seen somebody take such punishment without going down or even taking a knee, and he still came back in the later rounds with decent shots and quick combos. Khan was taking ****ing BOMBS and he didn't even go down, he was out on and his feet, and he still managed to make Maidana look stupid by dodging a huge punch that sent Maidana through the ropes, he showed a lot of heart and it was one of the most dramatic rounds I have seen since I watched Benn VS Mcclellan. That is why he got so much respect. Most boxers would of just gone down to stop the onslaught, but Khan stayed on his feet, how can you hate on him after seeing that sort of heart and bravery? Lets face it, if that was you in there, you would of gone straight the **** down and stayed there.
Props, Amir for that round earned them in spades. Haters label him arrogant but I don't think he has ever indulged in the kind of smack pre-fight about an opponent that Degale or Naz did in his pomp. I.M.O. Khan has the most talent of Britain's active fighters and can only improve under Roach.......if he listens :deal
He is a good fighter, but certainly not great by any means. He is over rated by his Brit fanboys for sure.:tired
His skillet is overrated imo, I mean what does Amir Khan actually do, flurry, then scamper away? Take away Amir's speed, what else has he got? To Amir Khan's credit, he's a good rhythm fighter, as in when he gets into his rhythm, stuff just flows naturally for him, once he gets into that in and out type of the rhythm using his speed, he's a natural, like did you see the body shot he landed against Maidana? he got into his rhythm and that combo just flowed out, it was a beautiful shot, he also has a lot of heart, good to decent stamina, that said, Amir Khan is not a well rounded fighter imo, he cant fight inside, doesn't seem to be able to shorten his punches up, comes in, in straight lines when he attacks imo, he fights on too much nervous energy, and can be a bit naive at times, which leads to him making mistakes, not making the right decisions. Amir doesn't have the best footwork imo either, he can be trapped.
My stock for him rose for outboxing a past prime but still good Paulie giving him a beating and it rose the **** up when he was in war with Maidana taking too many bombs but staying in there firing back. He has heart and talent you can't deny that but his Ring IQ is ****. He needs to work on moving his head, blocking/parrying, and using the jab more on offense though his jab is solid. Good fighter to watch when he does face warriors like Paulie and Maidana. With Bradley bitching out of their fight, Khan should look to face winner of Matthysse/Alexander or Judah. As far as double standards, yes it is unfair that Bradley doesn't take the heat Khan would if he bitched out like Bradley did. Can you imagine the hate threads that would be on here for Khan? So since Bradley bitched out it's okay? That's BS, I have yet to see one thread talking about Bradley bitching out.
His chin is overrated, that's for sure. He's ALWAYS one punch away from defeat, yet people seem to think his paper-mache' chin isn't gonna fail him again. Just wait - the Konman is KO waiting to happen, nothing more.
I think his chin is overrated in terms of, its not as bad as people make out. Some people seem to think a gust of wind would knocked Amir over, when in truth, he wouldn't of took some of the shots Maidana landed if that was the case.
To be fair, Maidana's power has been overrated but he still was a puncher and Khan took many shots from him yet didn't even go down. I wouldn't fault Khan for going down and knowing his heart he would get back up and fight until he can't give anymore JMM-style.
A better question would be Do you think Amir Khan has a Glass Jaw? Short answer, Yes. Long Answer - Bredis Prescott.
No, he's underrated if anything. He can fight. He has skills and heart and his chin isn't as bad as it first appeared.
a little bit. You can see he is not too lit up in the ring. But at the same time, I don't think 140 is very stacked with talent. There is Bradley but the fact is Bradley is just above average, not HOF caliber. The best thing Khan has going for him is his team
Yeah, no ****. Maidana couldn't even knock out an ANCIENT Erik Morales. Khan's chin is Grade AAA china. By the time his career is over, this will be beyond dispute.
