That wasn't so obviously, but it's definitely a fix. Banks had him hurt and tried not to finish him. Then he just shut down his offense to let Mitchell win. It didn't do Mitchell any good though. Arreola knocked him out in 1 round.
of course some of them are... the worst part is you can get rigged fights in backyard non commissioned bouts but you can get the exact same for a ppv commissioned world title fight which may be the biggest fight of the year... im still amazed people get away with this on such big fights
There is no question fights have been fixed and it has been going on for many years. But just how many fights have been fixed and which ones is anyone's guess. Even more difficult agian would be to try and prove who was resonsible for fixing them. In a perfect world there would be no corruption and no fixed fights, but boxing is far from a perfect world.
considering the punch stats and taking into account it was in the champions home turf can you really call it a robbery ? it was clearly a close fight
1.) Delahoya vs. Mayweather was FIXED 2.) DelaHoya vs. Pacquiao was FIXED 3.) Pacquiao vs. Clottey was FIXED 4.) Pacquiao vs. Margarito was FIXED 5.) Pacquiao vs. Mosley was FIXED 6.) Mayweather vs. Canelo Alvarez was FIXED 7.) Pacquiao vs. Rios was FIXED 8.) Margarito vs. Cotto Rematch was FIXED (all the losers laid down/threw the fights cause they were bribed to do so) sadly, millions and miliions of people paid over $50 dollars to order the above fixed PPV fights , not knowing that those PPV fights were FIXED/STAGED :rofl. atsch
Yes! a bunch of judges are 100% corrupt and paid off, boxing is subjective i know but when everyone bar the judges sees the clear winner you've got to admit something is not right, Bradley vs Pacquiao, The Canelo draw card vs Mayweather, Rios vs Abril, Lara vs Williams ect these fights had a clear winner the scoring was clearly corrupt. I also belive many fighters are paid off not to give it 100% Pacquiao vs Clottey a clear example for me, did Joshua even throw any punches, Wilder vs Mitchell another clear Fix. Sadly i'd say in a good 20% of fights at least one judge is paid off.
I don't believe fights are fixed in the highest level of the sport maybe in some small redneck town with only about 200 people in attendance, maybe
Without question fights are fixed at all levels. The more money involved, the greater the probability. Fights are fixed in several ways: 1) corrupt judges 2) corrupt fighters 3) promoters who choose their own judges (again, corrupt judges) 4) intimidation (threat to fighter or fighter's family)
He's always saying that crap. He hooded around those heavy accusations without a shred of evidence. Notice how Floyd and Manny always both win by fix on his list? What a loser. Dude also insists that Margarito was perfectly on the level in the first fight with Cotto, but something sinister went on in the rematch atsch Margarito has never lost a fight fair and square according to BoxingDousch, he just takes dives all the time :rofl
