Do you think Burns - Vasquez will happen as advertised?

about 8/9 years ago i got tickets for a frank show - think it was calzaghe vs a decent yank johnny helson vs macrinelli both world title fights and hatton vs a decent opponent

the two world title fights dissappeared and hatton changed opponent from as advertised

thats how i remember it but it was a while ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

How long do you think Groves knew he was heading to matchroom & how many tickets has he sold?

 

I suspect Booth and co held off until they knew there was no money in the third party's account. Or until Frank confirmed he wouldn't be able to pay until after the bout.

But we're probably looking at a couple of weeks, I'd guess, if they were working to agree terms with Matchroom.

 

Agree, at least 2 weeks, I can understand why but part of me thinks its unfair on the paying public not to mention he wasn't going o be fighting....but obviously no real way round that.

 

Yes I would be shocked if Hearn/Booth/Groves have a plan ready a few weeks ago. I would imagine Hearn was always aware of the contract clauses.

 

I posted in one of these deleted threads that hearn had spoken to burns people in reguards to his contract situation and if FW had breeched it

Groves - gone
Burns - going ??
Clev - erm ...

 

From what I have been told Clev is the only fighter to not have been in contact with Matchroom. And its the fighter going to them not the other way around.

If I was Cleverly & Burns I would go to the US and sign with Matchroom. If I were Chisora I would probably do the same. Groves, Gavin, BJS, Selkirk, Buglioni, Mitchell, Mitchell Smith, Stephen & Liam Smith should get over to Matchroom.

 

So as rumoured for the last couple of weeks this fight is off. I actually said to an associate when it was announced to put money on Burns-Walsh being the fight. It's been that ever so handy 12 rounder Liam has had designated on the card from the start that has been so obvious. And as the weeks have gone by Walsh hasn't had an opponent named - what a surprise!!!!

What a complete an utter stitch-up from the off. And it's been f*ckin blatant!!! Disgraceful

 

It's a disgrace if the fight doesn't happen. Surely burns can walk?? Has to be a breach of contract thing happening??

 

I get the feeling that was Franks plan and Ricky said no.

 

He hasnt breached the contract.

 

That would leave Frank with John Murray and Liam Walsh. That's a good fight.

 

It's two weeks away isn't it? Two weeks and they haven't agreed terms? No hearing for Chisora until the day before?

It seems so shambolic.

 

This is a disaster feel for burns if true.
