Let's say the money is not the problem , do you think Canelo will be more confident after what we saw tonight? Maybe its too early and we will have to wait to what Canelo can do against Chavez Jr .
He'd be stupid if he did based on this. Canelo and Jacobs fight nothing alike and there's about 5 inches of height difference.
I thought he was going to fight Golovkin one of the 2 times that he was supposed to last year. He ducked both times instead. GGG supposedly got "exposed" by Brook and Canelo still didn't want it. Why would anybody think he wants it in September?
I think Canelo beats him.. And no way no how does GGG deserve that gift from Canelo and GBP of 15 mill, he should of accepted that money the first time because if Canelo whoops chavez and GGG'S ppv tanks, he might find himself accepting less money to get the fight done. Not a good decision made by GGG And His team to decline 15 mill.
I think GGG walks Canelo down and KO's him. Jacobs is just a better fighter than both of them, so I wouldn't be diminishing Golovkin's chances against Canelo based off of his Jacobs performance. Golovkin will beat Canelo handily should they meet.
I think he would before and after tonight he seems even more beatable. Problem is because he had a very controversial win tonight its only going to lead GBP to take an even higher bigger say in negotiations. 15m i hope stays on the table. GGG should take it
El Pollo will be even more afraid now that he knows that Golovkin can box extremely well, or he can slug, he beat a fighter who cheated on the weight, was probably close to 190 lbs......................
I've wanted to see this fight since well before Canelo-Cotto got put together (when Triple G was trying to get a bout with either one). Hope it finally happens soon.
Yes, eventually. But not because of last night. The 2nd best Middleweight did well against the divisions number one. But Oscar keeps Canelo away from all Middleweights. He wouldnt put him in with Jacobs any more than he would put him in against Golovkin. But eventually, when he feels any later and the money generated starts to suffer, he will throw his young Canelo in against GGG. He wants that money but up till now has felt like if he keeps avoiding Golovkin he makes more money out of Canelo than if they had fought by now and Saul had lost.
I would like Golovkin to never fight Canelo , the yellow coward who gave up his belt rather than face his master . Golovkin can fight Saunders and if he wins then GGG might retire on top or take one more fight vs Eubank .
I don't think the issue has been Alvarez being reluctant; it has more to do with DLH and Gomez' reluctance in putting their cash cow in with Golovkin. I honestly believe that DLH is wishing the Chavez Jr-Alvarez match is so competitive and entertaining in nature that it would warrant a rematch. It is conceivable that it could become a huge money fight as a sequel if both men perform greatly in the first match, especially if there's some controversy surrounding the decision. I'm sure DLH would do anything to avoid Golovkin for the time being until he shows consistently that he's over the hill and a shell of his former self. Maybe in a year or 2. It's a shame that Oscar became this kind of promoter- it's the complete antithesis of who he was as a fighter.
He doesn't beat anyone handily anymore.. Hes sliding quick. Jacobs prime against ggg prime and I believe ggg hurts and stops him in 6...
