Do you think Conor McGregor can even beat Claressa Shields in boxing?

People who think Shields would win need to give their head a shake. Despite him being the lesser skilled boxer Mcgregor would easily knock her out within a few seconds. He's significantly faster, bigger, stronger, much better reflexes, chin, power you name it.

The gender gap in sports is real folks.

 

I'm aware of that. Nevertheless these are both combat sports. McGregor is not a jiujitu guy, a wrestler or even a kickboxer. His main asset in MMA contests is his explosive counterpunching and power. Shields while undoubtably the far superior technical boxer is much slower, weaker and chinnier. Mcgregor could afford to eat a shot to give one in return, Shields can't. She'd get hit at some point and it would be over and out. Tennis isn't a combat sport with few transferable skills so I don't even know why you would make that comparison.

Going by what I saw in her pro fight, McGregor would knock her out.

 

On the subject of Tennis... The Williams sisters got smoked by an unknown German guy who was ranked like 200-300 and smoked in-between sets.

 

And going back a few decades, a 60 year old man challenged the world #1 ranked female tennis player in the "Battle of the Sexes" and dominated in straight sets. Can you imagine a 60 year old woman even scoring a single point vs Nadal or Federer? lol
