Im a brit and also a david haye fan

To be fare and honest haye has not ducked anyone in his own division and tore right through it and if you look at his record he was taking hard fights preety much straight off the bat.

    He is know cherry picker

Also i do agree about toney, that is the fight i want to see

Haye will ko rahman early and we will learn nothing about him and what he has to offer the hw division. Toney is fat and old but pure class with a cast iron chin, that will be a good learning experiance for haye.
Plus if he manages to do something peter couldn't and stop him then all the better.

    :good

Thats a good point as the only reason haye could make cruiser is because of the revised 200 ilb limit. Haye is a natural heavyweight, 6'3 and a large frame, all this to small nonsence he is as tall as ali and physicaly larger frame ffs.

Who dares say ali would be to small today ???????????

I'm not a Haye hater . . . I'm just logical and realistic . . . let's see him fight real live heavies and we can have a clearer idea whether he will succeed in the heavy weight division. He is athletic, explosive and an exciting fighter . . . a good prospect . . . nothing more.

Rightnow . . . his nutsuckers are already claiming he is the future of the division which is a simple OVER HYPING. The guy is very much over rated.

Its not that Haye is over rated. Its more that people recognise the HW division for the seven shades of **** that it is right now, Wlad excluded and even he is chinny.

A lot of people picked Bonin to beat Haye, on the basis that Haye couldn't handle a heavyweight with power. Of course, Brits who'd seen Bonin vs. Fraudley knew the score.

So when you said "He fights safe opponents", you were in fact just talking out of your arse?

uhh, that's great you are in the wrong forum though.

...Haye, right now is avoiding everyone who would beat him, and is focusing on guys like Maskaev and Rahman.

He said everyone is a bum and is running "from the Hayemaker"

Barrett, Toney, Chambers, just a few that said "OK."

So you admit Haye's chin is hopelessly underrated?

By the way, the reason why your post shocked me is that you're usually a good poster.

All of them are fat, old and lack power. If Haye fought them he'd be accused of ducking the big punchers of the division.

One thing's for sure...Haye is good for the heavyweight division. His heavyweight campaign right now is all about the matchmaking. Every guy who moves up a weight class (especially cruiser to heavy) needs that fight where they actually start to believe that they belong. For Holyfield it was the Michael Dokes fight. Haye's a brash, outspoken guy who obviously feels that the heavyweight throne is his for the taking but what is he basing that off? A win over Tomasz Bonin? Haye can take the easy route and KO a washed-up fighter like Rahman but a fight with a gamer like Monte Barrett who will test him can be just the right stepping stone to help Haye make the transition to becoming a bonafide heavyweight. The object here is to put the cruiserweight achievements in the rear-view mirror so people start looking at you as being a genuine heavyweight.
