i thoughts kampmann had a split decision, very close fight, never saw so many cuts, or bolld great fight though
Split Decison means when two out of the three judges score the guy a winner and the thrid judge scored the other guy the loser 30-27 30-27 27-30 But I had Sanchez winning by one point. Indeed a very close fight.
I'm guessing that what you mean is you personally scored the fight for Kampmann, but would have liked to have seen the judges score the fight a split decision for him. That way, he would have got the victory, but the split decision would have reflected the fact that the fight was very close, and Sanchez could just as easily have been the victor. Correct?
kampmann won that fight. a MMA judge should know what he is seeing. a mainstream fan will think aggression and blood and guts win the fight but not knowledgable people. kampmann was the far more technical fighter. his boxing was much better and he busted him up. those wild attacks didn't land. kampmann was far more surgical in his striking. kamps also stuffed every takedown bar one where he got up very quickly. all the other take downs were stuffed and punished with knees. poor judging where a few entertaining moments does not win a fight.
If youre a sophisticated judge, then its Kampmann, close but clear. If you're an MMA judge, whoever moved/punched/grunted more which was Diego.
If you judge for the rounds based on which fighter did more damage, and was closest to finishing his opponent; then Diaz was the clear winner. If you judge the fight for the fighter that marked his opponent's face up in the 1st round, and preceded to lose the next 2 rounds, then Kampmann is your guy.
when diego scored the takedown i knew he won but i personnaly think kampman deserves the win big time
