Many fighters are physically gifted like Mayweather, but few have come close to accomplishing what Mayweather has been able to accomplish. see Zab Judah.

Zab was blessed with more natural ability than PBF but was a front-running headcase.

My answer is yes. But there is more to it than just fighting style its also the style of the opponent. In boxing there are 3 styles. Boxer, boxer puncher and brawler. You put a guy in the ring like floyd in the ring with a brawler and hes going to make easy work of it. Just look at the lhw fight about a year ago Thompson vs Coyne. Thompson vs the right opponent looked as dominant as floyd that night. Thompson is a mediocre marginally talented fighter at best. If a guy has the athleticism and spends years perfecting this style sure he could dominate like floyd.
Look at Adrien Broner and how successful he was and his version of the shoulder roll is quite limited but combine that with athleticism and hes able to compete on a world class level. Give that same athletic ability to a guy who knows how to actually use the shoulder roll, knows how to move his feet and has ring iq and its floyd 2.0

My favorite shoulder roll fighter is James Toney. Absolutely great fighter.

    Ha, what?

Mayweather has unworldly stamina. Zab has struggled with his. See Mayweather/Judah. Mayweather has incredible reflexes. Rigo is the one I can compare regarding that.

It's the mix of stamina, reflexes, incredible speed, incredible timing, and unmatched intelligence that makes Floyd so formidable. Not many fighters have all of those combined.

only those boxers with weak power want floyd's very defensive style to cash in. more boxers are warriors who enter the sport for legacy and greatness. they prefer to make a good fights that fans are willing to watch and enjoy in the future. a win just for money is easily forgotten but the legacy fights live on.

Legacy. If PROFESSIONAL boxers are really about "legacy" they would be amateurs chasing that Olympic gold medal. Marvin Hagler said it best "lets make some money." He also made his style more aggressive not for "legacy" but because they kept robbing him so he didn't leave it in the hands of the judges. See boxers both amateurs and (since you always like to talk about amateurs) and pros like to win. They try to win. I don't understand people that hate winners so much.

I think any of the top 100 ATG could do what floyd has done if they chose to fight like floyd has with an always defense first attitude
