Do you think Fabio Wardley is better than Prime Dillian Whyte?

Wardley is a special sort of tough. Also, Whyte was on PEDs.

 

I don’t think that Wardley has proven it yet, but I believe he definitely is better than Dillian White. I expect that by the end of his career he will have achieved quite a bit more than White did.

 

I’d say wardley over whyte

Wardley for me has a bit more sparkle

 

Difficult one.

It is clear Wardley has had a favourable run to a title, which Whyte never got.

Wardley faced Nathan Gorman

Whyte faced Tyson Fury for a world title
Wardley faced Joseph Parker

Importantly, Wardley won both fights, and is now a belt holder.
Whyte lost both fights, but he does also have a win over Parker, and generally a deeper resume

 

At this current time like already mentioned and imo Whyte still has the better depth of resume,that being said Wardley seems to have somebody looking down on him favourably with his fast track through the domestic belts and then onto a World belt and wins over fighters so far even he himself could not of dreamed of when he started out. Question is when does the fairytale end and Wardley come’s unstuck or does the enigma he is carry on for longer ? Tbf Wardley always comes across as a nice lad and always seems to be in exciting fights and gives his all which is good for the sport,good luck to him for however long it continues

 

We don't know what Wardley's ceiling is yet. I think he might have a bit of stamina problem similar to Whyte he could struggle. His chin looks better, both can crack but Wadley looks to hit harder.
How would Whyte fair with Clarke? Could see him boxing to a stoppage.
I think Whyte might be a bit more varied than Wardley.. Wardley has a belt, Whyte didn't manage to get one.
But Whyte was proven world class - like it not, Wardley has struggled a domestic level before finding a brutal finish at the 2nd time of asking.
Wardley has a big fight lined up with DD, come through that and he's live v anyone.

Whyte had done a little more, but I'd safely say that Wardley is better than prime Whyte if he beats Dubois.

Even during his peak, Whyte was chinny and there was always an air of vulnerability around him. On that basis alone I would say Wardley is superior.

 

Both very hittable. Wardley is tougher though.

 

Whyte tends to get the harsh end of things on here - he wasn't era defining, but he was a solid enough contender for a while and could easily have won a belt if circumstances hadn't been as they were (as someone above, if he hadn't had AJ for the British title, and if he hadn't been ducked by Wilder he'd probably have lost that title to Fury or AJ instead of losing as the challenger).

Wardley looks pretty tough, if scruffy... We'll see how he looks in the fullness of time - his win over Parker is solid, but not without a potential asterisk for how dumb Parker fought.

The other thing is whilst any fighter is undefeated (and/or hasn't been stopped) they'll tend to get given quite generous assumptions as to what it would take to beat/stop them... When the ceiling gets shown, ratings tend to get more realistic.

In other words, Wardley might well be slightly overrated at the moment - he might not be, but we need to see a bit more before this question can be answered properly IMHO.

 

Wardley is quicker of the two. We'll see how he deals vs Dubois who is better than any version of Whyte.

 

Wardley would destroy Dillian Whyte, Whyte knows it. He signed Wardley immediately after sparring him. Wardley is more durable, faster, and ironically less sloppy. Wardley can counter with more than the left hook

 

Wardley is already better. Whyte was nothing more than a mediocre top 15ish contender whose stock was heavily inflated by Matchroom’s very effective marketing and hype machine.
