Boxers in the past had 8 weight divisions with 1 champ in each. When they went up in weight it was a huge feat. Bob Fitzsimmons was a 3 division champ at MW,LHW,HW and the only person to come close since is RJJ but guess what? Bob fought for the lineal title whereas RJJ and his fans claim he did the same thing but he avoided Lennox Lewis and fought Ruiz. Whats even funnier is that Bob Fitzsimmons won the MW title and then the HW title as LHW was not around yet.

If you think what Mayweather did is incredible you should take time from trying to convince everyone that Mayweather is the greatest and research boxing as a whole. You are starting to come off as a unknowledgable fanboy instead of a open boxing fan. Who cares if he got paid alot are you getting some?

Henry Armstrong - Held 3 titles at once and almost got a 4th at a time when there were only 8 divisions. He defeated 16 world champions. Floyd fought at a time where there is 17 divisions and if you just count the top titles for the top 4 sanctioning bodies there are 68 titles. Henry also did not play with his opponents weights. Do you see the difference ?

Not for me, top 10/15 for sure, but I can see the rationale of somebody putting him at number 5 on their list. All about opinions.

Yep agenda driven fanboy. How many ATGs did he face in his prime? Oh yeah that would also be 0-0 gotta protect those 0's though. You are absolutely delusional if you think he is greater than Henry Armstrong or Fitzsimmons. Whats worse is I am a Mayweather fan but I also cannot stand fanboys. Thanks for letting the curtain come down and showing everyone who you really are.

"defeated 23 world champions" just shows how the value of world championships has been reduced in modern era.

In the old days some of the greatest fighters didn't even get a shot at a title, others had to wait years and years fighting the best in the business to eventually get a shot at a crown.
Nowadays you have mediocre fighters who have been 3 or 4-time champs, who have held titles in more than one division.
Titles and belts floating around everywhere, all sorts of ordinary fighters can EXPECT to hold some version of the world title in their careers.

I'm not saying every "champ" in the golden era was a great one or even a good one. Ordinary fighters held titles back then too, sometimes. But these days there are dozens of such fighters at any one time.

Yup. Probably 4 or 5. Somewhere below Corey Spinks and above Judah.

Roberto Duran was once 72-1, Julio Cesar Chavez was once 87-0.

Marciano retired at 49-0 and Calzaghe retired at 46-0 so are they on your top ten list?

Rocky Marciano maybe, but Floyd fought tougher competition and dominated 5 weight divisions

Bert Sugar's list is highly frowned upon by serious boxing circles. The best list I've seen so far is McGrain, but I have some huge problems with some of the placements there, too.
