I thought that Tyson was a jerk, but I still liked to watch him fight. I didn't know professional fighters had to be moral examples for the rest of us; thanks for enlightening me.

actually you are still bumping around in the dark. no one asked if floyd was a good role model, is he a piece of **** or not? this question could be asked about anyone, not just role models.

Floyd is boxer and is naturally human being so there is a connection and
a simple question: is he a good human being as he is a good boxer ....
its natural question assuming he is one of the most recognized boxers
in the world and kids on the street are watching him as an idol.

So what they can learn from Floyd?

Well, he is currently the best p4p boxer; so, he couldn't possibly be that good of a human being.

    Deep question: What is good?

For example your son is asking you: dad can you show me a good boxer
who I can follow on Twitter and who can inspire me on my Ipod ...
I want to be in my life like him .... will your answer be:
    Floyd Mayweather?

you are blinder than i thought. you see, this guy mayweather, he boxes sometimes, and this being a boxing forum, he gets discussed sometimes. you have guys who love to discuss his cars, his swag, , his clothes, his money, his legal problems, etc... then you have guys who get buthurt when his failings as a human being get discussed, but they will talk your ear off about what a g little floyd is.

I wouldn't encourage any kid to look up to a professional athlete. They are a version of modern day royalty that believe that the rules of common people do not apply to them and whine and make excuses when things do not go their way.

Example: "If I had my Reyes gloves, I would have knocked him out."
I also would not encourage him to look up to a guy that refuses to take a PED test by citing a fear of needles as an excuse.
