I have a big feeling that Floyd vs Canelo fight will look similar with Floyd's last fight against Guerrero or something like that.

Beside his size and youth I don't think Canelo has something better in his arsenal to trouble Floyd. Maybe a puncher's chance but we all know that the puncher's chance theory doesn't really work in a fight with Floyd.

So what do u think ?

    Nope.
I expect a Floyd UD, but I also expect it to be as least as tough of a fight for Floyd as the Cotto one.

Everybody thinking Canelo just has a punchers chance will be in for a shock. I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo gets some combinations in on Floyd.

Canelo throws hooks off the pivot, he usually likes to set you up for it. Roy Jones in the Josesito fight said that Canelo reminds him of himself with that pivot and those combinations.

Floyd can't "toy" with Canelo. Pot shotting and moving will frustrate Canelo in a GOOD way, to a point he rather eat Floyd's shots to move in unleash and back off, this will be a chess match.

I am tired all these boxing "fans" by default are picking Floyd because time and time again he is known to win over and over again but these sames boxing "fans" only really heard of Canelo with the Trout fight and by watching THAT fight, they say to themselves....."oh he cant beat Floyd" :patsch

bro I saw all the Canelo major fights. The Mosley fight shows that Canelo isn't such a great fighter. He beat Mosley indeed but he supposed to stop him / t/k.o him , knowing that Mosley was a shot-old / past of his prime ww and Canelo was / he's a young&big top jr MW ! :yep

How good is Canelo's ring IQ compared to, say, Cotto?

Ture, but Pac had him in survival mode after he dropped mosley. Mosley that fought canelo was far more shot and gave it to him for 12 rounds. I don't think that's a fight to judge how well he will do agsinst floyd. Canelo has the tools but not the stamina and workrate to beat mayweather. I think canelo can beat the floyd that fought cotto, but not the fleat footed floyd. I believe canelo will be willing to take whatever floyd dishes out to get counters, I think he's got a chance for success there.

A blown up Gatti(RIP) can't and won't beat someone like Trout.

Floyd is the clear favourite and I expect him to win but I don't think this will be an easy fight for Mayweather. I expect Canelo to give Mayweather the toughest fight since Cotto.

Canelo is a very sound fighter he doesn't have any glaring weaknesses other than his low work rate and Floyd likes to pot shot and fight in spurts himself so I don't expect this to be a huge factor in the end result.

Canelo is very skilled himself, he does things that many fighters don't do. I like how he looks to counter at every opportunity, how he catches and parries shots on his gloves. He has clearly been working on the shoulder roll and head movement to slip shots and throws nice combinations to head and body.

So Mayweather will be made to work for his payday this time, anyone expecting Canelo to be dominated like Gatti is fooling themselves, Floyd is no longer prime and Canelo is a much more sound fighter than Gatti was.

Floyd is not going to toy with Alvarez at all. He will be at his most safety-first, frustrating Alvarez with movement and potshotting with probably low activity. He will take no chances due to Canelo's size and power, even though Canelo will likely be sluggish due to the weight drain and style-wise he probably won't be throwing many punches. Alvarez doesn't waste punches, he only throws hard shots and only when he gets the openings to do so. When he doesn't get those openings, he's very low activity as with the Gomez and Trout fights. This fight will be terrible in all likelihood, a very boring Floyd UD.

Canelo is a better fighter or atleast will be than Cotto. I'd say his ring IQ is pretty top notch.

the Gatti fight comparison is pointless and stupid but right now as Floyd came back to his old defensive style with his father as the main trainer I expect to see the Canelo fight going like the Guerrero fight for Floyd.

In the Cotto fight Floyd was more aggresive and paid for that cuz he engaged more in trading shots and Cotto gave him some good fists. Not taken nothing away from Cotto cuz he fought great and he had a good game plan and a good trainer in Diaz. :yep
