Do you think Foreman was on the juice in the 90s?

It was the wild west for steroids in the 90s, no testing for the most part, certain fighters actually bringing in pro-bodybuilders into their camps. Tommy Morrison claimed he contracted his HIV from a dirty steroid needle. Do you think Big George partook?

Doubt it but anything is possible. He was certainly strong AF but pushing weights can do that for you without steroids

Based on appearances? Nah, based on being a 40 something athlete in the hardest sport in the world? Maybe… based on his character… IMO nah, but it would be unsurprising it was the 80s-90s he could’ve had a doctor in camp suggest it? But I’m not sure, he was honest enough to pay for hitting a woman because he wouldn’t lie, he’d probably have talked about it if he did, I feel like steroids would’ve been too far for George because it was a “Drug” with a stigma. Honestly I hope not because it’d IMO undermine the arc of being the old guy coming back armed with faith and conviction, I love his comeback.

I always thought it had something to do with being reborn, he always looked as hairless as an egg his entire comeback from memory…. But it is interesting especially in the 80s-90s.

    I don't think so but I wouldn't be suprised.

He went bald before his comeback so I think it wasn't due to steroids but who knows.

It wouldn't exactly have given him an unfair advantage, considering how many of his opponents used PEDs.

I suspect that he was using PEDs. No proof, but no proof that anybody was using PEDs in the 90s.
A guy who gains 100+ pounds and does little/no physical activity for around 10 years probably isn't going to get into shape naturally, he's probably going to need some "help."
Foreman spent a lot of time distracting people with talk of his eating while he looked more like a power lifter than a fat man. He wasn't defined or cut, but he wasn't fat and loose like a guy who had lost 75-100 pounds would look if he did it "naturally."

If the guy who did it happened to be someone who naturally carried a lot of muscle and happened to be a former pro athlete who understood hard work in the gym, took it slow at first while getting into weight lifting seriously, it's possible.

Who knows, but do keep in mind he was no average joe off the street in terms of genes and ability to bust ass in a gym.

At the biggest he ended up in the 90's, he was definitely carrying more muscle than he did in his first run. You can tell from his arms and shoulders when flexed -- there's some pics from the Moorer fight I believe where Foreman is mid-punch and his arms look just massive. But by that point, he'd been lifting weights seriously for years. So who knows.

Side question -- what do you think Mike Tyson is on right now? He's almost 60, yet appears to be carrying the same amount of muscle he did when he was like 20. TRT alone? Or you think he's mixing in more?
