Do you think Golovkin would've finished Jr in the 7th

I actually Jr is a bad matchup for GGG. Jr is such a big guy he would force GGG to fight off of his back foot and I do not think we have ever seen him do that yet. I think GGG is the better fighter but I think I would Jr the slightest edge.

 

Yeah he let the ko go in some point at the fight. Martinez has the power to hurt Chavez. He wasnt sitting on his punches. The left hand was fast and accurate but not that powerful. He still whooped boys butt. GGG may get Chavez out of there. I dont think Chavez will be the same anyways.

 

People don't actually think Chavez has a chance against Golovkin, do they?
GGG's more accomplished in pretty much every way.

Everyone's on this 'Chavez is huge' argument. It clearly meant **** in the Martinez fight. I doubt it would phase Golovkin. When you have that kind of skill and power he might just be the one making Chavez back up in respect.

 

I think if GGG had anyone in danger and knew it he would go for the kill.

Martinez had his mind made up from the start he was wanting to punish Chavez round after round, and probably take him out late. He almost let that mentality be his down fall, by letting Chavez stay in the fight. But clearly we don't know if he felt like he could finish the job at that point without draining his own gas tank too much, or maybe by that time his hand was already broken, who knows? I did feel there were times in the fight where Jr was caving, but to his credit he never did, and when he was in trouble, he backed off and found ways to survive to fight another round.

 

Time for GGG to take a test.
No more free credit for all the acclaim this guy is getting.

 

GGG is not as quick or as fast as the sexy one. I have never seen GGG have to fight off of his back foot which is not an easy thing to master so I feel that he would have a harder time with JR. GGG has great footwork and Balance BUT can he maintain that going backwards? Serg and GGG are two different animals and do not fight the same way. GGG just beat the homeless mans Serg so now people are now placing him on the same level as the Sexy one.atsch

 

Chavez was backing up all night against Paulie style puncher Zbik, covering up against Martinez like a chicken. Golovkin would make him **** in his pants.. I'd be surprised if Chavez throws more than 10 punches until GGG ends him

 

GG would punch holes in Junior's bum ass.

 

7 rounds is a bit generous. I'd give him 5 or so.
