cotto would rip hatton to shreds... PBF is a ballerina compared to cotto!!
hatoon shouls stay at 140!!! his strength is not enough to excel at 147.

HE WAS AN UNDERDOG AGAINST FLOYD & DID'NT LOOK TO DANGEROUS THEN!

But he and his management did such a good hype job, he almost went into the fight at pick-em. He was the big underdog against Tszyu and produced the goods. If he can get the weight slightly in his favour he would have a chance against Cotto. Cotto is good, (but sadly) he is no Lil Floyd.

I said it when Cotto turned pro and il say it again.Cotto smashes up Hatton faster than PBF. It wouldnt even be close.Hatton is too easy to hit and too easy to hurt.He can take a punch alright and has a decent beard but Cotto is a precise concussive powerful puncher with an excellent dig to the body and head and tucks up very well.Hatton is loose and wide open defensively. It would be an easy and early night for Cotto.

7lbs means nothing. If Cotto could make 140 he`ds still beat him there. If all the big names at 47 were at 40 they`d STILL beat him.Stylistically he simply doesnt have the tools to hang with the elite names at welter. The only reason why he should stay at 40 is because the comp there is bigger and better than him aswell as 140 being relatively weak. Since beating an aged champ at 140 Hattons done nothing at the weight to prove he is still the best in his division. He fought a blown up and old Castillo and couple of no namers.

I dont believe Hatton has declined. His the kind of fighter that looks great in the gym when bags and pads dont punch back.He trains like an animal and amazingly despite his lifestyle still makes the weight with ease and room to spare. BUT as his gone up in class the fighters punch back. His style has been exposed as flawed because his too open defensively, doesnt punch that hard, and his volume punching only works against fighters of the WBU type that he used to fight regularly.

Anyone can look like a killer when they fight down a peg.Now his moved up into "real" world class all his performances including his victory over Kostya have been average and mediocre.Kostya was a great result because of his name but the fight was a foulfest and not Marquis of Queensbury boxing.Against Collazo and Urango he also had off nights. His only throwback victory was vs a shot Castillo.BUT he continues to win, but due to the nature of his victorys he is bound at some stage to get found out even worse than he did vs Floyd.

Hatton couldn't of surely peaked though? I mean he only trains like 6 months a year at best and doesn't train at all Inbetween fights.

I think he would be ground down and stopped late on at welterweight.

He has an ok chance. P4P he is just as good as Cotto, but just not at 147. Cotto is defo the favourite and would probably get a late TKO
