holyfield wasn't robbed by any means but valuev was so lucky that it was 46 year old evander he was fighting and not 40 year old evander.

i think people are frustrated because valuev never looked like a fighter who deserved to be called champion during any time in the fight, and he only 'beat' a great fighter because that great fighter didn't have 3 more rounds left in him.

I was obviously rooting for Holyfield, but scored the fight very objectively. I scored the first round even. I had Holyfield up by 1 point, if I had scored the first round for Holy he would have won by 2 points. Obviously there were some very close rounds, but Holyfield started way better, was more active and scored the clearer, more telling punches. Valuev basically didn't do **** except for some middle rounds. No way Valuev won this fight. So it's not about giving Holyfield the win in a close fight because he is a legend, no, Holyfield deserved the win.

I just think it's unbelievably sad that a magic night for boxing got ruined by incompetent scoring from the judges.

Holyfield - he landed more clean shots. Valuev had only 2 of them.

I thought he won 11 rounds. There was one round that was even because neither boxer landed a meaningful punch.

It was as if Foreman was disqualified for "rabbit-punching" when he KO'd Moorer.

I watched the fight and was amazed by the decision. One judge gave it 116-12 and whoever that was needs to lose his licence.

Neither fighter did much at all but Holyfield landed the more, effective punches and I struggled to give the freak many rounds (the last one and round 8 or 9 can't remember which exactly).
