Do you think Hopkins regretted calling out Calzaghe after seeing the Kessler fight?

Remember that Hopkins called out Calzaghe after the Wright fight in July 2007. That was before Kessler/Calzaghe. So before this fight, Hopkins probably assumed that Calzaghe was a one dimensional fighter whose claim to fame was only a one dimensional fighter in Lacy.

So do you think Hopkins regretted calling out Calzaghe after watching the Kessler fight?

My personal opinion is that he did and that if he could've taken those words back, he really would've and avoided fighting Calzaghe at this stage of his career.

Yeah, but he's a guy who seems to be more worried about his legacy and being remembered as an ATG more than money at this point in his career.

    Answer the question at hand.

What kind of thread is this? Who cares! The Kesler fight showed me nothing about calzaghe except that the ****er doesn't stop throwing punches! Other than that he looked sloppy and reckless in my opinion... Grant it, it was the first and only fight I've seen of his? I don't know if it was his best!

Hopkins...As much as I don't really like him anymore, does not strike me as a cat that would be A) scared or B) regretful of calling someone out...

If Hopkins loses to Calzaghe - does it really affect his ATG status - knowing he was beat by someone that will be consider an ATG himself?

Even though I'm going with Hopkins!

I think you have to give credit to Hopkins for following through after he called Joe out.

If you are boasting about Kessler being the only Calzaghe fight you have ever seen, then you should not be boasting about your ignorance, its embarassing, especially on a boxing forum.
