Do you think Hopkins regretted calling out Calzaghe after seeing the Kessler fight?

Who wouldn't regret calling out Calzaghe after the beating he inflicted on Kessler.

I don't think he did. He probably thinks he can show Joe up.

Was that intentionally funny or am I just childish? :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

I honestly don't think Hopkins does fear or regret, he just isn't that kind of guy.

No, he doesn't regret it. The only thing Hopkins knows is fighting. He wants to get in a fight, and thats what he'll do.

But didn't you just know he was building to the conclusion that his boy Joe was going to win? Totally biased, crap article that is typical from this place.

He most likely doesnt regret it, as 4 or 5 yrs ago he would have been retired by Joe if the fight had took place or at least took aback by it, but as Hopkins draws to the end of his career, he will get a big payday out of the loss.

In regards to the articule, I do see your point. What I would say is the piece had a bit of theory about it, so it wasnt fanboy material. He hasnt looked at peak for a while now, so a little bit of sense was in there.

Highly unlikely. Even if Calzaghe had beaten him in 04 or 03, he doesn't beat him that badly. If Jones couldn't, I doubt Calzaghe comes off any better.

Kessler got discouraged too easily in the Joe C contest......after a couple of rounds you could just read his body language and the fight wasnt that out of reach, it was still early.

Kessler just seemed robotic throwing the same combo that wouldnt land. He was the youger guy he should have taken more chances.

Bhop did time at the age of 17 at the big house in Philly with rapists, murderers and he was just a kid. I dont think he is quivering in his knickers at the sight of Joe C. BHop is made of stronger stuff than that.

In all honesty Joe scares no one he is a lighthitting speedster who outpoints.
