Do you think Hopkins regretted calling out Calzaghe after seeing the Kessler fight?

I agree -- Hopkins is an extremely smart man and I have nothing but respect for him. People should give Hops the credit he deserves. He came out of nothing and went through hell to get where he is now.

Well, he doesn't want to be seen as a guy who went back on his words and had he passed on Joe, he would've been called out for going back on his words his whole life. He made it clear as night and day. It wasn't like a maybe call out.

I still think that if he could take back calling out Calzaghe after the Winky fight, he would've done so had he known he good Calzaghe would've been against Kessler. Of course, at that point, he didn't know that Calzaghe would dominate Kessler. Maybe he thought less of Calzaghe's talents at that point in time.

I'm not saying he was scared. Hopkins isn't scared of anyone. I'm saying that he is a man who doens't want to lose because it would lower his legacy. So in that sense, he regrets it.

Funny ass thread. You Brits are going to ****ing hang yourselves win Bhop OUTBOXES and OUTCLASSES the Calsloppy. What you inbred mutts fail to realize there is a big difference in class between a young one dimensional straight forward robot like Kessler and then the elite fighters like Bhop who seen it all and know how to make Calzaghe pay for his many sloppy mistakes. His workrate and aggressivness will get him put on his ass as he has been dropped by guys with lesser skill.

That robotic Euro-bum would have beaten any version of Bhops from the last three years.
