jmm and pacman have had some very close fights, but do you think jmm could move up in weight and perform as well as pacman did in beating dlh like that?

I think it would have been more competitive but JMM would have worn him down... As opposed to Pacman who was just far far too fast for DLH.

No, JMM is a counter puncher and doesnt move as much as pacman. De La hoya was pressured and wasnt allowed to get his momentum back.

With JMM, de la hoya would have a lot of time to set his shots up and regroup.

Well if the same Oscar fought JMM, Marquez would have trouble throwing a counter given that I dont remember Oscar throwing a punch!

This just means that neither JMM or oscar would be boxing. Since JMM would be waiting all night long for oscar's punch?

No. Although I do believe that JMM beat Pac both times. They are different kinds of fighters, and Pac is the kind of fighter that could exploit Oscar lack of legs, movement, and reflexes. JMM is a great fighter, however he is the kind of fighter that lets his opponent get off his punches.

I do not think JMM can cope with additional weight above 135 as well as Pac, but I still think he would have had enough to have beaten Oscar that night. It would not have been anywhere near the blow-out it was IMO as I don't think JMM would have had the same speed and power that Pac did weighing over 140lbs, but JMM is such a brilliant boxer I still think he could have edged a points decision.

    Very dumb posts.

Marquez is not PBF, he pressures if the other guys is not doing anything. Go watch his fights.

Any fighter from 135-147 worth his salt would have given DLH a beating, some even worse. :hi:

One of the reason why oscar stopped throwing punches was due to pac's relentlessness. He did tried punching on earlier rounds but he just couldnt find him. Go watch the fight. Come back when marquez can move in and out like that.

Oscar is not a pushover, I still think de la hoya would have turned out different if he was fighting someone stationary and hittable. He looked good back in his recent fights due to his opponents not moving as much. :hi:

jmm one of the best counterpunchers there are. yes, he'd be patient and is more of a plodder, but he would pounce of dlh with each punch dlh would throw. jmm has also moved up in weight with his power and speed not affected at all. his left uppercut to the body and head would of had devastating results on hoya. if jmm wouldn't of had won by clear UD it would of been a stoppage because jmm would of stood toe to toe with him the mexican way

I guess that sarcasm does not come over well in text.

My point was more to do with DLH than JMM

Oh, and have one of these back :hi:
