I'm not concern about skills from both fighters my problem is Loma with a 15 lbs advantage fight nite. Rigo did it 5 years ago against Nonito that was long time ago not a fair fight to me as a boxing fan, Bob knows Garcia is chasing this fight but found the path of less resistance he got burned once it could happens again.

I think the possibility of Lomachenko frustrating Rigo is likely. He won't choose to come forward unless he knows for sure he can bully Rigo. He'll have to box on the outside and be wise of Rigo's sharp counters, which I think he can figure out.

That is likely. Problem is Loma won't be stupid enough to come forward and give Rigo opportunities. Just like how he chose to box wisely against Walters.

I think it's possible. It really depends on which Rig shows up. If his timing is effected by the ring rust and inactivity the speed and work rate of Loma will certainly cause a bunch of problems for the Cuban boxer. If Rig is on point, his timing and counter punching can offset some of the physical attributes that Loma has advantages with. At the end of the day these two are two of the most highly skilled practitioners operating in the sport. They will have to be at their absolute best to come out the winner when they fight. It's a tough fight to call without knowing how either of them will enter the ring on fight night. There are plenty of variables to consider and are unknown so we can only hope that both of these guys are at the peak of their physical abilities by the end of training camp

That's possible if Lomachenko's punches are that much heavier than Rigo's.

For some of you people here that are clueless. Lomachenko's punches having that much more effect on Rigo can lead to Rigo just clamming up and Loma just teeing off at will.
Would'nt neccarily equate to Lomachenko's skillset being superior as it could come down to his punches just having to much of an effect on the smaller framed Rigo that he will just shut down and not do what he normally does.

Go over to youtube and watch Samuel Peter toy with James Toney in their rematch.
After a controversial first fight in which most felt Toney won, Samuel Peter had a plan for the rematch.
That plan was to focus on just laying a heavy jab on Toney and seeing if Toney could get inside it.
Toney who was exponentially superior to Peter in every skill department, couldn't get by the heaviness of Peter's jab. He just couldn't! Peter just layed that jab on Toney and dominated every one of the 12 rounds handily with that jab.
You're not going to tell me Toney was outclassed. He just got dominated because Peter with so much more strenghth and functional mass behind him just kept Toney at bay with just a simple heavy jab.

Lomo is guna be stronger so Rigo is on the move double time from the very start, and he is damn good at that way of fighting. Guna be interesting, could well be a frustrating watch for Lomo fans. But i think he should prevail. These 2 are both excellent and smart, Rigo is a bit quicker but Lomo is no slouch and Rigo wont get in and back out quick enough.

Did you notice Loma's tender skin knotting up under his eyes last fight? Marriaga barely touched him. What do you think is going to happen to Loma's tender skin when Rigondeaux lands repeatedly? Guys that don't often get hit also tend to have a more brittle facial structure.

Why such a thread? Lomachenko has already out boxed Rigo!
