I can see where people draw comparisons, especially floyd at 130. The way i see is floyd played the cards he was dealt better than anybody i have ever seen ever and that was in terms of work ethic, life style,health and weight out side of the ring etc, His ability to make adjustments in the ring not only during a fight, but fight to fight, as he got older and moved up in weight his knock out power from 130 didn't carry up but he was constantly adapting and evolving to farther time a unique style that enabled him to dominate throughout his entire 30's, I have never seen anybody deep into their 30's as sharp as floyd While it may have ultimately lead to a style many found boring it was extremely effective and this trumps raw talent and other attributes everyday of the week for getting the all important W.

Some fighters are blessed with granite chins, epic power, epic fitness, epic speed, These are all attributes that are predominately genetic, and is what i the combination of all these all play a major role in what i would call RAW talent, I think Loma and floyd are pretty similar in the raw talent department but floyd imo beat's him in his ability to fine tune and adapt his raw talent over and over and over again. Loma still has time to develop hes looking awesome right now, but right now, i don't believe hes even close to floyd in totality

reflexes , speed, power, foot work, chinnery, head movement, endurance, ring generalship, mind games, defense, offense. looking at some of the categories for raw talent. Im going with #TBE , though currently Loma and Rigo are my p4p #1 fighers.

 

Not that any of this means much but deserves mentioning.

Floyd was a lineal sfw champion at 21 or 22. Loma was a titlist at age 25 or 26. Loma's prime is still going on. Floyd was superb in his prime. I don't see how one can be judged over the other in terms of has more raw talent.

One never lost and the other lost a fight to a tough guy.

So this really comes down to who you like more than evidence. Some have completely forgotten how Floyd fought in his prime. But when was the last time Floyd won a poll here lmao.
