Do people think manny is overrated?

Or does more credit need to be given to Marquez who is an ATG and just put on the performance of his life.

Another question will Manny struggle with other counter punchers and boxer punchers out there such as Gurrero and Floyd. Or is Marquez one of the few who has the right style and mental attitude to beat (or almost beat) Manny.

Is he the Hearns to Leonard? Or is Manny overrated and will struggle and lose to all good counter punchers?

Here's fighter of the decade for you:

1996-Pacquiao gets KO by a journeyman
1999-Pacquiao gets KO by a journeyman
2000-Pacquiao gets KD for more than 10 secs. vs Nedal Hussein
2001-Pacquiao gets gift draw against Agapito Sanchez
2004-Pacquiao gets gift draw vs Marquez after dropping him 3 times.
2005-Pacquiao LOSES to Morales who had just lost to Barrera and then lost to journey man Zahir Raheem.
    2008-Pacquiao gets gift against Marquez.

    Notable wins since 2000:

2003-Marco Antonio Barrera-Not in his physical prime
2006-Erik Morales (past his best Clearly) *Came down in weight
2008- David Diaz-Worst titlist, arguably had just lost to shot Morales
2008- Oscar De La Hoya-Shot, *Came down in weight
2009- Ricky Hatton-Previously gotten KTFO by feather fisted Mayweather
2009- Miguel Cotto- Previosuly KTFO. Not the same fighter. *Came down in weight.
2010- Antonio Margarito- Previously KTFO *Came down in weight
2011-Another GIFT vs JMM....38 year old JMM.... very disgraceful .

Another interesting little fact about Pac is that most of his opponents during the 2000s had been fighting pro for a whopping avg. of 12+ years...AND most of his major wins were against fighters at the twilight of their careers. Not to mention the amount of losses his opponents have combined during this same period!!! It's a lot!!!!!

Like I've always said and like Kellerman pointed out, and Arum admitted... Pacquiao's career has been carefully ORCHESTRATED,

    Smoke and mirrors.

No. Marquez just has his number. Nothing that happened the other night changed my opinion on what Pacquiao has already accomplished. The only thing it changed my opinion on is how he'd fare against Mayweather.

OVERRATED NOW? No, this fight either put him into proper perspective or will end up taking away too much for him.

Previously discussed as #1 ATG ever, knocking out Duran to SRR to Whitaker to Floyd, yes, he was overrated.

Manny is a great fighter, but certain styles give him trouble, certain styles benefit his style. Manny is a ATG no doubt about it, Marquez just happens to be another ATG.

If Pac is overrated, than what does that do for Barrera's, Marquez's, and Morales's status? How about Those 3 are great fighters, head and shoulders better than any other fighter Pac has fought?

Saying Pac is top 10 ATG is overrating him.

Saying Pac is top 40 ATG is not overrating him.

No. Floyd has his share of sleep inducing fights but he's not underrated. Same w/ Pac.
Had Pac not initiated to fight Marquez, it would have a boring fight.

He's not on the level of a Floyd Mayweather Jr.

People desperately want someone to beat Mayweather, they look for anything.

    Mayweather is unbeatable.

When I find Pac overrated here it is because the media hypes him up to be some dominant champion
