Disagree, he had burn marks from the leather, slight swelling, certainly nothing that would indicate 9 rounds of "taking a pounding". I've always said that Margo has not ever nor will he ever have outboxed anyone. His greatest attribute was an iron chin that would literally wear opponents out from trying to hurt him.

 

Tell me what fight post Margarito 1 that Cotto looked like that aside form the massacre at the hands of Pacquiao?

Cotto did'nt get hit all that much and his face still looked alot for wear and that to me would indicate that it was the heavy hands of Margarito that caused such damage.

Had Margarito hit Cotto nearly as much as he did the first fight, Cotto's face would have looked bloodgeoned once again.

However, his "heavy hands" didn't seem to wear Cotto down the same way they did in the first fight. I'm not saying the guy cheated the first time, that's something he, and ony he, has to live with if he did. But the fact remains that he took a beating for nine rounds and wasn't able to inflict the same damage as before.

So lets be objective here or maybe we can compromise like a nice married couple should, could you say maybe the damage could have happened because his face doesent hold up as well as it used and maybe just maybe its not Margo's magic fist of fury that just automatically damages Cotto's face upon first touch.

 

Margo beats a fighter like cotto all day if his eye hadn't been caved in by PAC. Look pac beat both of them and marg did more damage despite losing every round. Mosley fight that man was on EPO. Most people who sparred Margo said he punched hard. Even if his power wasn't legit than the stamina and durability of the man is pretty good.
