If his hands were checked which they are for every fight i went with No.

I think Cotto fans like to think Margo cheated.

You cant just because he was caught cheating for one fight simply assume he is guilty for every other fight.

90% of the time there a officials there when there hands are wrapped.

We have seen Cotto can lose and get beat up at the same time. Even get rocked bad. He is not ****ing Superman and he can lose cheating or not cheating.

Thats only my opinion i see by the poll most thinks he cheated for it. Which is **** then that would mean Mosley must have cheated more than once.

I take the innocent until proven guilty. And i hate to say this but what ****ing Proof is there.

The only proof is the fact that Miguel took a beating and his face was all ****ed up.
However going 10 plus rounds with Margarito who started throwing near 100 shots per round in the 5th, is going to leave you bumped up a bit, had there been plaster paris present IMO Miguel would have looked alot worse and also would have atleast had a broken rib or two.

when you watch that fight even in the first and second round you can clearly see the leverage and power that Margarito was getting on those shots, someone throwing that hard if they had illegal wraps sooner or later would have broken something.

Especially when he was basicly killing the body time and time again, Now your counter arguement is going to be Resto vs Collins right?
Okay but even Resto himself said being a body puncher that night he didnt go to the body much just up top.

Yes, given that the substance was found in the gloves for the Mosley fight and the way the Cotto fight played out with AMs punches seeming to have a real thud to them in the later rounds and the state of Cotto after taking the punishment ... I can't see it any other way than Margarito cheated.

And I was cheering AM on for the win during that fight too.

Well only his trainer knows(since Margarito dont know what the **** gets put on his hands). But it is clear that this was Resto style cheating. But they didnt take the padding out of the gloves. I think the insert was hard enough to cause things like cuts and facial damage and they knew Cotto is prone to cuts and facial damage. But either way as with anything in life once you cheat at something you are a cheater. ****ing regardless. Thats life. You have to deal with it.

While there is no proof, and while I don't know one way or the other, if I had to guess one way or another, I'd say probably.

I went to the Margarito/Cotto fight and was a big Margarito fan that night, and now I regret it.

The post earlier about his KO percentage improving as his competition improved is very peculiar, particularly given the trainer change at exactly the same time. That's by no means conclusive, but it's interesting.

Also, the common sense point that a guy who can beat Cotto without cheating would suddenly decide to risk his career by cheating against Mosley. That defies all logic.

I think he certainly cheated against Cotto, and he probably cheated against Paul Williams and Cintron as well. It's a damn shame, especially for Cotto, because I think he's been permanently damaged.

It ain't cheating unless you get caught. But Margo got caught. If you cheated once, its like you've cheated before.

    This is ****in bull****!

Cotto fans love to claim he cheated against Cotto and no one else! Point is... there is just as good of a chance that he cheated against Clottey, Williams, Johnson, and Cintron as he did Cotto.

In fact, he fought Cotto in Nevada, where they video-tape the wrappings. He fought Williams in Cali, where he is more likely to have tried to pull that stunt.

My opinion, he didn't cheat in any of the fights.

Margo didn't stop Clottey because Joshua has a thing called defense. He didn't stop Williams either cause he has a solid chin and stamina. Cotto fails in all those departments so he was beaten up and stopped brutally.

There's no reason why Margarito or his trainer would bother cheating Cotto. Far smaller and lesser fighters have sent the guy on ***** street. Mosley on the other hand has a granite chin and better than expected power to match and got Margo's respect with the first big punch he landed. Moreover, the CSAC allows trainers to pre-fabricate the knuckle pad whereas in Nevada you have to create it with the gauze given by the officials under their watchful eye.

I hope they rematch so Margo can stop Cotto even quicker.
