I agree on some points. I just think JMM will at least bring that Mexican-American fanbase that Marg brought--if not more. Manny will bring his legion of supporters. And there will always be those fans who believe JMM has Manny's number, until proven otherwise. A guaranteed 1M buys, IMO. IMO, Shane would only do marginally better, if that.

I just don't think the issue is how much money this fight would make. The way I see it, Arum just does not want to do business with GBP, and Manny does not want this fight bad enough to insist Arum make it happen.

At the end of the day this is REAL TALK! There's a lot of bad blood between Arum and DLH and I think being with Golden boy at the moment only hinders JMM chances in landing this fight. Honestly even if JMM asked for $3.5 mill Bob probably wouldn't make this fight.

Shane had to up and leave Golden boy to get the chance at PAC...JMM may have to follow suit. I think I read DLH saying he'd let JMM go so he can get this fight. JMM does deserve it! I just wish it would be at 135 or no more than 140. JMM needs all the avantages he can get if he is to fight PAC at this stage.

And arum is full of **** when he says jmm vs pac wouldnt sell. jmm vs floyd did over a million, so why does bob seem so worried pac cant do close to the same with the same opponent who is off of another KO win

This is a stupid question. A fighter with the caliber of marquez, his dedication, proffessionalism and respect for the sport is unmatched. He deserved more than alot of these other hypejobs or cherrypickers have been getting paid.

 

Pac's earned every bit of his status. He's worked his way up to the $20+Million paydays. Now Marquez just wants to hitch a cheap ride on that. Well he won't be able to get what he wants with Arum and Top Rank holding all the cards, and given their disdain for GBP. Marquez needs to take whatever is offered or he won't get the fight. He can't complain either way. Everyone acting like Top Rank has to be charitable to this guy, should understand that them just offering Marquez the fight is charity on their part.
