Muhammad Ali cannot claim to have scored clean wins over Ken Norton, and that plain fact places him a full step behind Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson.

The ******* will never acknowleadge it, because well, they're *******s......

......the folks over at GBP did'nt do their homework....the JMM-Katsidis fight was held on Thankgiving weekend, most people stay home to be with their families, so there was'nt alot of Mexicans traveling to Vegas to see a fight........

However, The HBO telecast of the JMM-Katsidis fight drew 1 million viewers........
......the week before, Williams-Martinez drew 1.3 million viewers, and thats because a great % of that 1.3 million tuned in to watch the replay of Pacquiao-Margarito.

1 million viewers to watch JMM-Katsidis......
1.3 million to watch watch the replay of Pacquiao-Margarito....

.....thats not such a huge difference.......certainly not enough to just offer Marquez 10% of the total purse.

.......and to the *******s, yes we know clowns, Pacquiao is the draw, which is why Marquez is conceding to have Pacquiao make 4 ****ing times the ammount hes' asking for.

5 million IMO he deserves but he's been crying like a baby and talkin ****. That's really not the right way to get your 5 million.

I dont blame them for not wanting to give him his biggest payday after what he's been doing, and since they have other options to get pretty much the same amount of money. Pac is the cash cow now, and if he really wants the fight.. he'll take WHATEVER offer they give him.

It is a bit sad for JMM's side but it is what it is.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floyd_Mayweather_vs._Juan_Manuel_Marquez

Juan Manuel Márquez made a guaranteed $3.2 million, as well as an additional $600,000 due to Floyd Mayweather, Jr. coming in two pounds over the 144 lbs weight limit. Floyd Mayweather earned $10.0 million.

Note sure if he had shares in the PPV sales. I think I read somewhere before that he did not have any, so the total he earned was $3.8 million.

Yeah not bad but did you noticed the obvious? Most of the fights were at 135. These fights didn't prove even a bit that JMM can be competitive at 147 lbs. JMM tried once at 146 but he failed miserably.

Also if JMM is calling PAC for revenge and justice then JMM should call out Chris John too. :D

"Revenge" has little to do with JMM calling it out Pac.

If it is not about money he should be using his promotion company to put up the bill in a Pac vs JMM fight.

He wont'. Because everyone knows in the business that unless this is a free HBO fight, he will not be able to pay a Vegas MGM + PPV event.

I agree with this idea. JMM should prove first if he's now a worthy opponent for PAC at 147. JMM can fight Margarito, or Cotto, or Clottey first... Heck JMM can even fight DelaHoya before calling out PAC again.

    I think its fair IMO...

Marquez obviously deserves it from a fans perspective...

-You can make an argument for him being the most SKILLED fighter fighting

-He has a huge heart, and has given his fan's more than their moneys worth

-He has been at the top for while, and beaten alot of elite names

-Has 2 super close fights with Pac

-Is nearing the end of his career, and is still fighting good fighters

I think that he deserves 1 last big payday. Marquez comes in the ring against younger, stronger fighters and gives it his all. I think marquez should get 40 percent of the purse. That would probobly be more than 5 mill actually

All that said......Do you want JMM to get a career high payday towards the end of his career or are you like his incompetent management, asking for something they know he'll never get and the payday goes out the window?

Sure JMM deserves $5million...but the truth is he's not gonna get that. If he continues to push for it he's gonna lose his retirement bonus for being stupid.

There are MANY folks in boxing who didn't get what they deserved, but they were smart enough to know when to fold or play their hand. JMM, if he was smart would fold, accept and still come out making a career high payday. Pride can be a double edge sword in cases like this but I think it's less to do with pride and more to do with greed from his team.

Lets face it...with the bad blood between Arum and DLH...this fight has little chance to happen without all the unrealistic expectations.
