He consistently talks about how he believes fighters should get the "lion's share" and that he made a lot of mistakes in the past regarding promoters. Floyd said that when he was with Arum he got screwed out of a lot of money and he won't let the same happen to his fighters. So, does Money really have the best interests of young Gervonta Davis at heart? This guy looks like he could be a 2/3 weight world champion, although I'm not sure how marketable he is. He doesn't have the smack talk that Pretty Boy Floyd had and he appears to be as bright as a piece of coal - hence why Mayweather basically conducts his interviews for him. Is he paying this kid fairly? I know he apparently bought him a $60,000 Jeep for his birthday, but in the long-run, will Floyd be true to his word?
I'd rather see Davis be under Floyd's stewardship than be used by people like Roc Nation, Bob Arum or Al haymon.
