We'll have to see. Donaire IMO is the closest comparison we can look into to speculate how far up Inoue can go. Even donaire was knocking out guys, breaking faces at inoue's current weight but suddenly his power dropped heavily when he faced natural featherweights and that was despite donaire being larger than inoue

If he dominates the way he has all the way to 130 he would have a legitimate case for GOAT.

Inoue has, figuratively speaking, urinated over all these fellow leprechauns he's fought so far at the weights he's campaigned at.

After drenching everyone at 118 and becoming undisputed at that weight he moved up and urinated all over the top dog at that weight in what was his debut at that weight.

Let's be honest, he soaked Fulton so thoroughly that Cool Boy looked like he'd been strolling through torrential rain without an umbrella for hours. That's how one-sided it was.

I checked out a bit of the other unified champ at 122 Tapales the other day and I couldn't believe how tiny he is. He literally looks like one of those munchkins in The Wizard of Oz, perhaps even a tad smaller. He's going to get drenched too.

The current champs at 126 are

    Leigh Wood
    Luis Lopez
    Robsy
    Rey Vargas

Wood's a big boy, he has that majestic forward sloping curly perm, and he can punch which Inoue himself has attested to because they've sparred each other

Lopez is a dangerous free swinging big punching customer who throws punches from every conceivable and every inconceivable angle

Robsy is a highly skilled former amateur great who carries big power too

I think I've seen Vargas fight but I don't know much about him

It'll be impressive if Inoue can do at 126 what he did at 118, let alone at 130 and 135

He has a good chance against the guys you named, i would like to watch him versus Rey Vargas that will be a good test for him & be a compelling fight.

I'm not arguing they beat him or vice versa. I said I thought his power would carry up to 122 and it has. I think it will carry up to 126 too but it might not or it might but just be less or maybe much effective at that weight than it was below it.

Also, Fulton doesn't have much pop whereas Robsy, Lopez and Wood can all crack at 126.

He's already moved up in weight a lot and unless you're a massive weight bully and are gigantic for the weight it's hard to predict how you'll fare when you've already moved up that much or even less. And even if you are a massive weight bully the KOs can suddenly dry up when you've moved up.

I think he's amazing and he can probably beat all those guys but size matters and I'd just have to see him at those weights first.

Well said, particularly with respect to Lopez and Wood. In fact, I thought Wood might very well stop Lara on the basis of that power and his superior all-around craft.

Leigh Wood claimed after the sparring that Inoue could carry his power till Featherweight (while Inoue noted Wood was really big & he could feel Wood's power):

Thanks. Obviously when you move up in weight and face bigger opponents the punches coming back at you tend to get harder too. Wood looks huge for 126 and Inoue is at that stage now if he keeps moving up n weight where size or rather lack thereof could prove too much of an obstacle to overcome and I don't want to see that.

I'm not picking those guys to beat him but some of them are tough match ups for him at what will be his 5th weight

Lopez has really impressed me from what I've seen of him

Wood switched to slick mode for the rematch and proved he could maintain discipline and stick to the game plan

    Thanks. Yeah I remember that.

I think Inoue's savage power will carry up to 126 but it may well be not quite as savage up there. He'll definitely still be a big puncher at that weight but like I said earlier 135 is a real stretch because you have natural 147 pounders and 140 pounders campaigning at that weight.

Better than every boxer in history? Like Ali? Armstrong? Robinson? Greb? Duran? Leonard?

    No, he hasn't the competition

If Inoue obliterates 122 and 126, he can become Undisputed in 3 weight classes. And if he becomes a belt holder or unified champ at 130, and remains undefeated while being dominant, it's not unreasonable that he becomes the GOAT. I don't think he can become undisputed at 130 because of timelines. He's already 30.

Thus far in his 10 year pro career, he's been more dominant than your boyfriends Crawford and Mayweather. In fact, no one's been more dominant. Inoue's lost a mere handful of rounds and if you take away some flush punches from Nonito and 1 or 2 other opponents, you can say he's never lost a single round in his pro career.

    ...Wat?

Naoya Inoue can win a title at Lightweight, because he's "only", 4 inches shorter than Heavyweight Mike Tyson, who is also about twice as wide as him?

Am I being a complete idiot here and missing something obvious? What point are you trying to make?
