Do you think Mosley has what it takes to beat Mayweather?

Mosely has a decent shot at pullin' it off. Is it probable considering his age and the fact he's out of his prime? No. It's still quite possible though. I'm not counting the guy out...even on this one.

I'd give it to Floyd if he takes this fight.

But Shane by wide UD or even by KO. (my opinion floydies, no fun intended).

The huge difference between Cotto and Floyd is strength. Cotto is a bull in the ring. Cotto's strength is what mosley always said is what impressed him the most about Cotto. Yes Cotto out boxed Mosley but he had to bang the **** out of him to do it. Floyd throws fewer punches then Cotto and doesn't hit nearly as hard. Mosley also doesn't tire in fights down the stretch and even with all the big shots Cotto landed agaisnt Mosley by the end of the fight it was mosley closing strong. Mosley has a great ****ing chance of beating Floyd if he can force the fight early and then Close strong late. Also consider the fact that Floyd is getting over the hill right now and at 33 Pernell Whitiker (the guy whom I think you can most closely equate to Floyd) was done as a top level Welterwieght. Don't be shocked to see Floyd slipping in the Next year or so.

I'd go even further then that and say there is a very good chance that relatively speaking age will work on Mosley side. Has turned more from a boxer puncher to a puncher boxer. He takes more chances thenhe used to and has turned more to relying on his power to win him big fights. This is mainly do to his declining physical reflexes and possibly his stamina. But the point is that when things like age start taking things from Mosley he's been able to demonstrate that he has other gifts that he can rely on to win him fights against top level fighters. Mayweather you can argue doesn't have nearly the other array of asset turn to when his relexes start to fail him. So you then have to ask yourself the question if Floyd all of a sunden finds himself not being able to slip punches or time counters the way he used to is he going to be able to stand and trade punches with a guy like Mosley? Or any top Welterweight for that matter? Probably not.

No, I think he'd get decisioned wide by Mayweather. Shane isn't a great aggressor and his current style of wide open haymakers and clinching would just play into Floyd's hands and he'd be picked apart easily on the way in.

I don't mind if the fight happens out of intrigue, but I just don't see how Mosley's old ass could overcome all those obstacles for a win.

Hey Just playing devils advocate. I think mayweather takes it. But this would be one of the hardest fights Floyds taken. Also I think Mosley's method of wading in with a flicking/probing jab can have some success against Mayweather.

Agreed, but I feel that Shane has a better chance of beating Mayweather now than he did two years ago if only because he now has Richardson in his corner instead of his father.

Shane has to be more active than his recent fights. Looking to KO Floyd with one punch won't do the trick.

That fight is nowhere signed, and Mosely is not Pac. Void is afraid of Pac!
