Do you think Ngannou's performance against Fury is overrated?

I've just rewatched the fight again and still believe Fury clearly won.
Ngannou obviously did far better than anyone thought he would've, but still, I hear a lot of people claiming Fury was dominated and that Ngannou was robbed of the win.

    Your thoughts?

No Ngannou really scored 2 knockdowns vs Fury one wasn't called in the 7th round.

Ngannou landed more power punches than Fury didn't fall for his feints nor was Fury able to be effective in the clinches vs a physically stronger man.

Ngannou exceeded expectations and Fury almost damaged boxings reputation beyond repair until Joshua did a number on Ngannou saving boxings reputation and I don't even like Joshua but I am thankful for him for that one moment.

    I thought Fury won.
In answer to your question. How could it be overrated? Ngannou was making his debut against a world champion who he knocked down and gave problems to.
I think it was the physical strength of Francis that Fury found tough. He was strong enough to push Fury back

He got knocked down on his ass by someone making their boxing debut. Utter embarrassment to Fury

No question. This dilettante is lucky Fury took him lightly. A prepared Fury would have disposed of him the way Joshua did.

It's clear as day Fury didn't train. EXTREMELY wide shots, wasn't remotely sharp, and horrendous footwork, Very similar to how he looked against Whyte tbh with no incentive to move out of first gear. Last fight (up to that point) where he seemed to have trained seriously was the third bout against Wilder.

The first 6 rounds against Usyk is the highest level he's ever fought at.

nganou has no ****ing clue about boxing. I'm looking forward to watching him boxing again, he is so funny when he is knocked the **** out, like amir khon. Well, I'm not being fair, at least amir khon knew how to properly box.

The biggest let down is why Fury let himself get so out of shape during this year knowing Usyk was next and even with a light camp for Francis was still badly out of shape. His sparring leaked from when he got cut he looked poor. The pictures I've seen of him 5 weeks out to this rematch agian he looks mediocre at best. I'm pretty sure it's down to Fury being unable to train hard because his body is on the way out....no surprise really.

i dont see how it matters in the context. he got beat up and dropped by a guy making his debut as a boxer. does it matter if he touched the guy a few more times than he touched fury? yeah, it didnt show how good fury can be, but it sure showed how bad he often is.

2 years of not taking boxing seriously. Fury had it coming; Ngannou and Usyk humbled him. Lets hope he has some sense back.

Yes I agree. That was his likely peak.
