Do you think Ngannou's performance against Fury is overrated?

He took Usyk seriously and performed very well. Just lost to the better man.

I thought Fury won clearly but he looked terrible. Take out the knock down and it wasn’t close. Fury definitely took it too lightly.

I mean ... I think you have to give Ngannou credit for running the champion close on his boxing debut. However, Fury obviously did not take the fight seriously. Styles make fights, but Joshua showed what happens when a fully fit and focussed boxer is in the other corner.
To me I view the whole thing more as ... Just why? I've always seen it as completely pointless. It didn't need to happen. No one was asking for it to happen. It's a weird stain on Furys championship run. And it ultimately held up the division - I'm glad the fans called Fury out on it. It was a ridiculous fight when there was still business to attend to against Usyk - or any other credible challenger

Fighting in Greco Roman style clinches is what MMA fighters do when standing so Fury was stupid to think clinching would tire FN, I just think Fury thought it would be an easy boxing match so he didn't prepare very well. Yes in the world of boxing FN is overrated

    No.

Hard to overate a mma fighter arguably beating or drawing with the number two boxer on earth, in his boxing debute.

I remember the look of abject confusion on Fury's face when his standard clinch and smother wasn't working on the 272 lbs carved in stone MMA fighter who was used to heavy grappling.

Big Frank just tossed him back.

I don't think so. Fury is not in his prime.

After two years out and the abuse he put his body through he definitely isn't at his physical peak.

But he's never looked as good against someone as good as he did in round 6 against Usyk.

His physical peak though was from Chisora 2 to Wlad imo.

    In what context?
Ie highest level you have seen him box or highest level based on the opponent?
I gave him rounds 4, 5 and 6 but thought Usyk won the first 3
What about the first 6 rounds in the first Wilder fight where he was very focused and slipping shots or the first 6 rounds of the 2nd Wilder fight where he likely won all those rounds?
