Take it one step further than catchweights, and while the A-side is allowed to make a weight class, his opponent has to make the weight class below.

For example fighter A is allowed to come in at 175, fighter B has to come in at 168?

It would be career suicide. So no.

GGG might try that next, I hope he doesn't read this, it sounds like a bit of him.

More likely Ward. After all he did drag a fight down a full weight class, and has fought a couple of Super Middleweight bums at Light Heavyweight recently.

    But but but 164?
Laughs at Canelo vs Khan then fights Brook?

He might call chocolatito next for a scrap!

He didn't call Brook, Brook called him. Lara should take note, then he might actually get the fight he talks about on twitter but not on the negotiation table.

Why didn't Ward drop 4lbs....He made Dawson drop twice that.

Because he saw what it did to Dawson.

How about the a-side gets to make his opponent carry more weight, like horse racing? Like make him weigh 16 oz gloves?

I wouldn't be that surprised when it happens, although it would certainly be pushing it.

But I believe the next big step will come when a popular but small HW takes a belt and then starts defending it at 215lbs or something sh_tty like that. And some of his fans would probably defend that too.

I can almost see it happening and I can definitely see the fans defending it but it would kind of be impossible unless he was the biggest name in the weight class. All of the big names are around 250 and would refuse to melt down that much so the handicapper would be the one depriving himself of the big fights. It would have to be somebody with a huge name doing that.
