If that happens, then you've got some extremely irresponsible refs/trainers considering the beating Cotto already took from Margarito.

as of right now, i'm picking pac to win this, but i definitely don't think he'll do what margarito did to him. not by a long shot.

So far, the "no" votes is leading... It has the same trend with the "Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Ricky Hatton?" poll...;)

if its a war and its a bloody hard hitting fight.........pac walks away possibly facing mayweather.

would you discredit a floyd win saying cotto softened pac up???

No. But I think it's quite possible he will stop Cotto a lot earlier than Margo did.

I see this as being a very short and brutal fight. Sort of a present day Hagler-Hearns. I think Pacquaio will beat Cotto but not before Cotto has plenty of moments as well. Pac's handspeed and that straight left are going to be the undoing of Cotto. This should be a short but classic shootout. Pacquaio ko in under 5.

To be truthfull i think Pac man will have a hard time penetrating cotto defense. His defense is amazing, and pac man hasnt fought anybody with such defense yet. With his style of fighting i see him getting countered a lot and more damage being done to him.

And lets remember margaritto had Plaster or something like a hardened papermache for wraps. And it still took him to round 11 to knock him out. So that shows me cotto can take a lot of punishment. Pac man is in for a battle.

    That or they hate Cotto.

The beating he took from Marg is about as bad as I've seen in a big fight in a while. It was a long drawn out beating.

So, are you a ******* then?

I am a fan of neither but Cotto is significantly better than any of those fighters, save perhaps JMM, but Cotto is an excellent overall fighter and has great defense that JMM lacks. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cotto dominate.

Christ people. I'm a huge Cotto fan, but the man does not have great defense.

idk maybe...i want cotto to win but wouldn't be at all surprised if pac blitzes him like he did hatton. his straight punches might hurt cotto as we all know he can be hurt. the further the fight goes the better for cotto.
