one wonders if floyd even likes boxing anymore. Starting from a young age its easy to get burnt out early. Only fighting once a year doesn't make sense if all you are concerned about is money.

Whichever fighter tries to rely on his jab in this fight will lose. Orthodox vs. southpaw, the jab shouldn't be as big a tool as usual.

Pac won't jab with Floyd, no. His attacks will be based around movement. He will strike fast, throws combinations, then leap back out of range. If Floyd had a stronger mentality, he would be able to try and hit Pac as he comes in then try and hit him again when he is leaping back out. But Floyd's weakness is his own mindset, and that's what will lose him this fight. He will be so wary of being caught by Pacquiao that his positioning will be too defensive to allow him to land those shots. Floyd's mind will be on not getting hit and not getting hurt, rather than doing damage himself. He may come out of his shell late on when he realizes he has been outworked and is down on points, but by then it will be too late, because Pac's chin is iron, and his speed and accuracy always make a knockdown a possibility. The jab will not be important in this fight, because neither man will be focused on it. Pac UD. :good

manny moves in he gets tagged... comes in at strange angles floyd moves out of the way... your also forgetting floyd is a great inside fighter as well

floyds a master counterpuncher with a great defence... his power didnt travel up in weight as well as pacs .. hence why he dosnt go for the Knockout now as much as he used to.

 

Floyd IS a counter-puncher. He happens to be a defensive counter-puncher. Being one doesn't make it impossible to be both.

I don't see Floyd boxing off the backfoot for the whole time. I think roach and emmanuel will work on learning how to cut off the ring like mad to prepare for Floyd. They don't call him gay"runner" for no reason.
