Mayweather landed 12% of his jabs against Ortiz, while throwing 83, he threw around 108 the whole fight against Judah.

The Floyd jab will not be a big factor in this fight. Pacquiao's feints and dynamic footwork will compensate for the reach disadvantage and allow openings into Floyd's defense.

Pac will try to jab with Floyd, but it wont be his gameplan, its sumthin he uses to set up a powerpunch up to now. his lead left works like a jab too and its pretty accurate.

It would be because he land his jabs accurately enough to disrupt his opponent/s rhythm. If you're going to use the Judah fight, then I'll use Manny's fight against JMM in their rematch. Floyd only threw 109 jabs in the Judah fight just to landed 43, while Manny threw 314 jabs in the JMM fight, just to landed 43 as well. The difference is, Manny threw 205 more. As i said, it not about how much you throw, it's about how accurately you land.

Enough with the Manny feints and dynamic footwork will compensate for the reach disadvantage logic, the more he feints the more he'll fight at the exact pace tempo Floyd wants him to, and we'll know if it comes to that speed goes out of the widow, it'd come down to who can land his first[timing]. Unlike Manny opponents, Floyd actually uses his reach as an advantage. What we should really be looking into since it'd be all Manny would have as an advantage is how Floyd limit his opponents power punches landing especially against southpaws. We all know in order for Manny to dominantly and convincingly beat his opponents, he must land around 100-200 of his power punches, but would that work against the best defensive wizard in Boxing?

Floyd only landed 128 jabs out of 432 jabs thrown against Ortiz, Judah, Corley, Mitchell[29%]. Not very accurate, but considering that only two of these four fights went for the full 12 rounds[24 combined], then it's not that bad. So out of 34 rounds, Floyd has averaged 3.7 jabs landed out of 12.7 jabs thrown per round against these southpaws.

Manny only landed 152 jabs out of 1,645 jabs thrown against JMM[Both bouts], Mosley and Clottey[9%]. So out of 48 rounds, Manny averaged 3.2 jabs landed out of 34.2 jabs thrown per round against those guys. Unlike Floyd, he went full distance with all of them, and threw 1,213 more than Floyd, but only ended up landed 24 more than Floyd. Horrible accuracy.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but Manny threw more jabs against JMM in both of their bouts than he threw power punches. It had more to did with JMM limiting Manny's best weapons, and forced him to be more of a thinker hence the reason why he didn't averaged his usual high amount of power punches land in those two bouts.

No. One of the many reason Mayweather would win and Pacquiao is avoiding him.

And he isn't going to landing 200+ of his power punches on Floyd like he landed on Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, ect. If a lesser defensive Boxer like JMM was able to limited Manny to landed 114 of power punches in their rematch, Floyd limit him to land the same amount if not lesser.

    This.

Pacquiao's jab is serviceable but it's not ATG. If Pacquiao goes in there and tries to outbox Floyd, he's gonna get KO'ed. Getting into a jabbing contest with Floyd ISN'T a good idea, especially when your jab isn't particularly good like Pacquiao's. Floyd is a master @ taking guy's jab away.

Have any Southpaws had success jabbing with Floyd?

    I didn't think so...

No. Floyd's too long for Pac to jab with.

Floyd has the size, reach and style advantages in this fight. I'll never understand why he won't get into the ring with Pac.

This is like asking "can Mallignaggi brawl with Maidana". Utterly pointless like most ***** thread.
