Are you kidding me? Cotto would never in a million years take a swing at him. He always keeps his cool. If anything I bet he would laugh at him

    more yes than no.

but who knows... we have never seen a fighter try to get inside someones head....

Lance this is just small talk over a few useless notions, not a full-scale investigation of boxers psyche. Quit being so obtuse, it's bad for your arteries.

If Floyd were to use his usual old antics I think that Cotto would respond much in the same manner as Joe Frazier did with Ali in their first fight and lay a big whoopin on that ass.

It's not as if Floyld Mayweather has that kind of Mike Tyson intimidation.

"Mike Tyson used to make grown men, feel like little boys..scared to death"

Floyd Mayweather is different...he puts doubts in fighters mindsets, by using bully psychology.

I don't think he could shake Miguel Cotto up, before the fight that is..

Malignaggi got to him ... and just think what Floyd would do to him ... he's very much so more accomplished than Cotto and will let him know. And if Cotto plays like he doesn't understand - Floyd would do what he did to Baldomir - tell him to cool off and throw some water on him.

PBF got under Hatton's skin it was clear as day. Hatton was doing a lot of talking going into that fight and it's not his style, PBF was in his head.:deal

During PBF-OScar 24/7 Oscar said he doesn't mind if PBF got under his skin but as long as he didn't get in his head it didn't matter.:deal
Oscar was obviously turned off and disgusted with PBF's antics to deny it is insane.

If you ask me if I think PBF could get under Cotto's skin I say probably so but I don't think he'd get into his head like he did Gatti or Hatton because he's too mentally strong for it.

Floyd would talk to him during the fight as well ... like he's done to so many of his opponents.

Cotto would be intimidated by Floyd's credentials ... I think its a psycological ploy on behalf of Floyd by having all those belts carried to ring with him every time he fights ... the extended fighter intro w/ the ending being ... undefeated

So Cotto will be aware of it from the begining just like Hatton was ... we all know that you have so many belts ... we all know that you have so much money ... and it will haunt Cotto till the opening bell.

if your looking for a reaction in press confrences or interviews...nah...cotto isnt going to react in fact none of floyd's opponents have.....however i think it does make them very anxious in the ring..i think the antics helps more fight night then right then and there.

he wants the fighters to be over anxious to be able to hurt him in the fight or knock him out makes for more mistakes and most importantly may interfere with how you execute your game plan.

Now i dont know Cotto so this is not written in stone but he looks to hold all his emotions inside and that alone is not good because it builds anxiousness.....i honestly believe he wont be phased at meetings and things of that nature but i do think he will hold his anger in if he is aggitated and it will build and in the ring he may work a lot faster than normal to get to Floyd who no doubt is even more frustrating in the ring because of his style. Anxiousness can tire you faster, mess up your breathing, speed up your thought process causing confusion, a number of things happen in that ring when too anxious.

Then you have Floyd who isn't so anxious and is calm and cool...y? because usually his counterparts dont talk trash back and floyd is in control from then because like i said if a fighter doesnt show it...it doesnt mean its not getting to them and holding it in till fight night is also what floyd wants, an explosion of emotion instead of mentally stayin in control.

For me i think this is how it will play for Cotto because one he is a warrior and he is perto rican and they have lots of pride, especially when it comes to family. we know Floyd almost knows no boundries and surely will venture into the family thing...i think Cotto will hear so many things naturally it will get to anyone over a period of time and he will hold it all in and come fight we will see a faster pace from Cotto because he will be so ready and anxious and it may be for the good but usually its not against Floyd.
