Do you think Rios will get a worse beating then Margarito?

Margarito was much bigger than Pacquiao, thus the prolonged punishment.

Rios is tough, but he cant take that ammount of punishment Margarito.

Rios would have to cover up like Clottey did, or run like Cotto in order to last rounds.

Class difference is sizeable, should end inside 8 imo!

 

Were talking about a guy who isnt particularly interested in boxing, who hasnt looked prime for his last three/four fights, who recently got knocked out COLD in his last fight. Rios will be absolutely fine, its Mr Pacquaio people should be worried about!

 

hopefully not, maybe his corner will know when to pull the plug so Rios doesn't suffer permanent damage

 

If it was the Pacquiao that fought Margarito that was going in with Rios in November...oh my god it would be an exceptional beat down Rios would take. He would get absolutely and completely hammered, brutally KTFO.

This is a Pacquaio that's well on the slide though, what happened in his last fight might have also took the majority of what he had left. Having said that I still expect him to beat Rios as you can't get a better style of fighter for Pacquiao

 

Margarito has not once proven himself without his loaded gloves.

He fought an old man Mosley without loaded gloves and was beating badly. Moreover, the Margarito that Pacquaio fought was just coming off a brutal beating at the hands of Shane Mosley. It was a safe fight for Pacquaio. Rios is a real threat.

 

Its the same Pacquiao, only difference from the Margarito fight to present is that Mosley, Marquez, and Bradley all used their feet to move away from Pacquiao's power.

Margarito was a punching bag for God's sake. A stationary target.
Pacquiao gets in the ring against one of those slow plodding stationary targets again and he's going to look better than ever.

Some of you guys in analyzing decline dont take style matchups into consideration.

 

not a pac fan... but did you guys not see his last fight yes he got knocked the f out! but he also looked great in that fight I was scared i was going to lose my money after his first knockdown he was mad and was looking like a monster. I have a feeling this will look like pac vs marg part2 but worse.

 

There's no way for Margarito to really prove he's a force after his suspension. Pacquiao's loaded wraps permanently damaged his eye.

The eye puffed right up in the Cotto rematch, and still he was coming on and had Puerto Ricans worried!

 

Quite sensible! Rios wont be fighting the same Pac that mauled Margarito but an older and rusty Pac who was KTFO in his last fight.

 

Rios will get knocked out in a mismatch................

 

It really depends on whether or not Pacman carries Rios at all...let's not pretend like this doesn't happen. If there is heavy pressure from Top Rank for a competitive fight(1st major card in China), then Rios might not take that bad of a beating. If, however, Manny goes all out from the opening bell, Bam-Bam is gonna get his ass handed to him.

 

both fighters will take punishment but i see the marg fight as the last great performance by manny (i supposeyou could include the 4th marquez fight up until the point he got knocked out). i think a more tame manny will show up and i certinly dont think rios will get knocked out.. this aient diaz. rios has a ****ing grotesquely good chin

 

I am not a pac fan, but rios is in for a world of hurt and a house of pain. JMM got dropped, busted mouth, nose, eyes, etc annd he WON by a big knockout. Rios is not that smart, he will just go in their and throw punches and pac will jump in and out and destroy him. Rios might have no boxing career if he doesn't quit
