Not really. I mean you would probably classify their styles but that's where it ends. Calzaghe is far more heads-up aware of what's going on. He's also high-volume, Ryder really isn't. Finally, Calzaghe sacrificed a bunch of his hitting power (Which made sense because he had bad hands) so he'd find himself in position more often, gave up on being perfectly balanced for being always in position to punch.
