Do You Think Sakio Bika Can Withstand Kovalev's Bombs For 12 Rounds (?)

    I was really surprised that Stevenson wasn't able to stop Sakio. I know that Sakio is extremely sturdy (he has to be w/ his BBWife), but Stevenson's power is supposed to be next level type ish and Sakio was moving up to light heavy...

    Do y'all think Sakio can withstand Kova's Soviet bombs?

    Stevenson couldn't take a flush jab from Fonfara without going down.

    Cleverly took full on power punches, jabs, right hooks, left hooks, uppercuts, every thing Fonfara threw at him....never went down.

    Kovalev jabbed Clev a few times he went down multiple times and was stopped in 4.


    Kovalev mauled Boone got him out in 2.

    Stevenson pounded him for 6 before finally getting him out of there.

    No he probably can't.
    In constant survival mode he might make it, but maybe 1 in 5 fights. Not that I want to see him in the ring 5 times with Kova, but I guess that speaks for itself.

    I think he could spoil his way through 12 rounds yes. But if Kovalev managed to land at will Bika would eventually wilt or be saved.

    Maybe Bika could but it's a big ask, only Hopkins has been able to go 12 rounds with Kovalev and he's far better defensively than Bika and Kovalev boxed more than he usually does when he fought BHop.

    Stevenson is a big puncher but he fights in spurts while Kovalev applies more consistent pressure and that could see Bika worn down. Bika won't have as much time to recover from attacks as he did with Stevenson and that could be the difference.
