Milk milk milk... The guy wouldn't even leave Germany to challenge for a belt against a far weaker champion in Barker. No chance of him giving up the strap he just paid Barker 850k for.

    yeah probably you're right.

if Sturm won't fight 3G I hope Murray, Geale or Rubio will do it.

    Geale in talks for April.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Murray is or will be in talks for winner of Golovkin/Geale on Cotto/Martinez undercard at MSG. Thats a win-win for all parties involved, and the type of big exposure that will temp fighters and more importantly their promoters to take some risks.

Sturm has a belt now so he will never fight outside of Germany again. He will defend the belt against mediocre opposition. The one good thing is the IBF will give him a mandatory challenger once a year, so he can't handpick all his opponents like he did with his "Super" WBA belt.

I'm sure Sturm would fight if the fight was in Germany, guaranteed US exposure, and most importantly, if he got co-promotional rights and a hefty more than 50% of the purse.

Didn't Sturm have 6 :)lol:) voluntary defences while Golovkin was waiting on the sidelines to get a shot at the title until Sturm lost it to Geale?

They actually showed the cave Sturm was hiding in on the flashy entrance video for the Barker fight. Remember that huge cave, and he was hitting rocks with the axepick? He dug the whole thing himself. With a pick.

Thats how long Sturm had been hiding from GGG.

Sturm has it good in Germany, no reason for him to leave really.

    - Earns big money
    - Sells out arenas
    - Big fan base
